Forecast for Friday 2 October 2015

Moon in Gemini
|Karmically difficult or sobering third| of this week continues   ** |
until 11:19p PT | 2:19a(Sa) ET | 6:19a UT   ***

First I have to say, to anyone who wonders why I always report / moon void-of-course here, and also the |difficult third| of each week, and also Mercury Retrograde again and again--

The latest U. S. school killing happened today in Oregon a little before 10:38 a.m. Pacific Time while--you can look at the post for yesterday to verify this--

A. The moon was void-of-course.
B. We were in the |karmically difficult or challenging third| of this week.
C. Mercury remains retrograde.

These are my three chief bugaboos, if you wish, or three periods I have marked out in these reports as difficult since 1999 when this column or blog began. (A fourth is the Via Combusta.) Periods when the moon is both void-of-course and in the |difficult or challenging third|are especially dangerous. The attack on the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001 occurred during such a time, and also during a Dark Hermetic Epoch (the very first day of one), precursor and twin of the Mercury Retrograde period which always occurs at the center of a Dark Epoch.

And now, this time, the school attack.  At the minute of the attack Scorpio, sign of death, was rising in Roseburg, Oregon. Of course this happens every day, but it was appropriate, and probably added fuel to whatever fires were burning in the deranged mind of the killer.

In the forecast for Thursday I said:  Mysterious things are happening. . . . One feels that one's career is under a cloud or is being re-established. Communications seem tricky or failed. What people say may appear contrary to what they mean. [A girl who was there said that the killer asked Christians to stand up, and then shot them.]  It takes a stretch of the mind and the emotions to be patient with people. [The killer was unable to do that.] A grand square in common signs is unusual and intense. Combined with Mercury retrograde it might result in utter confusion [as in the killer's mind] or else withdrawal. . . . Finding peace under these conditions requires high spiritual awareness [which the students in Roseburg were seeking afterward].

Also, A C-130 aircraft crashed in Jalalabad, Afghanistan Thursday night, killing 11 people, including six US service members. “It was a serious crash,” a defense official told Fox News. In this case, the moon was no longer void-of-course but we were still in the |difficult third| while of course Mercury remains retrograde.

Also, Hurricane Sandy in 2012 hit New Jersey and other U. S. points during a Dark Hermetic Epoch, and the worst days, when people were forced to evacuate, were October 28 and 29, two of the |karmically difficult or sobering third| of that week. And, now, during a Mercury Retrograde phase (and DHE of course) we are being warned of what Hurricane Joaquin might do to areas on the East Coast of the U. S.  I have noted for decades that the most extreme weather conditions occur during the DHEs.

In my prophetic poem for Thursday is the following:

The red triangle on the road has been turned around, backward,
As if to guide all vehicles toward danger. . . .

They rush and come and tumble toward an end that's premature,
Unless this gallant man with warning sign can prevent their
Suicide. If they would turn they could hear a troubadour
And accompanying cascade near an ancient-looking inn.

For Friday: Career, job, or position is highlighted, as if you could feel yourself lifted to a point of promise, if not fulfillment, in the area of "honor" or public commendation.

Friendship could be notable in a homey setting.

Things get somewhat more pleasant in the evening.

The secretive man wears an amulet on a chain round his neck,
Stones in a mystical pattern. He dreams of the invisible beings
They summon to his aid. One, dressed in skins with shoulders bare,
Holds a club. His strength and passion defend the savvy magician.

The flowers remaining in the autumn beckon to the slightly sybaritic
Enjoyer of their hues and scents. His fine sensibilities don't prevent him
From spilling his wine on the grass. When he tries to recover his poise
An impotent gesture impels him to stumble. What a sweet bed of posies!

Plowing with an ox, the farmer looks toward the thick wood he loves
To visit when he can. There he rests, sometimes sleeps, his mind dissolving
Into evanescent thoughts which yet prepare him for the secret studies
He cherishes in winter. Seeds, harvests nestle in and spring from books.
