Moon in Sagittarius (as of 2:09a PT | 5:09a ET | 9:09a UT)
|Karmically difficult or sobering third| of this week continues ** |
At least we do not have the void-of-course which we had Thursday all day. For me it was very difficult. A lot of things were very hard to control and seemed to go deliberately contrary, demonically, such as a bus ride I needed to a spiritual meeting in the evening. A bus which was supposed to arrive every ten minutes by the schedule did not arrive in 35 minutes. At that point I really decided that since the moon was void-of-course in Scorpio perhaps I was not intended to go to this meeting but ought to stay at home and mind my own business, of which I had plenty. So I went back home, after having other trivial but disturbing misadventures at a supermarket (such as, a major item I wanted was on sale but because of that none of it was left). I noted that there and on the street people were not happy. I only saw one young lady who had a serenely sweet smile on her face. Also, a worker in the store seemed happy, I think because he knew he was helping customers get over their little problems. Therein lies a lesson--that in the v-of-c and other difficult times, working or helping someone else may be the best and happiest course of action. It gets one's mind off one's own worries. Whether it was wise of me to go back home instead of waiting for a very late bus, I do not know. My patience had run out. I do not recommend that, but so it was. Perhaps I could have been helpful to someone at that meeting. I do not know. The v-of-c combined with the |difficult third| and the Dark Hermetic Epoch (until October 24) seemed extremely frustrating and almost incomprehensible.
Perhaps it was not that bad for you. Good.
As for today, the moon is no longer void-of-course, the |difficult third| continues (until late Saturday afternoon) and the DHE of course continues. Luna's squares with Venus, Mars, and Jupiter on one side and Neptune on the other, while very close to Saturn, do not portend a nice friendly party day. Watch out for morose or brooding moods in others as well as yourself. It is a very thoughtful time. That is good for philosophers and psychologists.
We need all the help we can get from advanced souls. Probably I ought to be reading that copy of William James's Varieties of Religious Experience which I found lying downstairs, although everything useful James said is also to be found in Sri Aurobindo's voluminous writings (and in a form which makes perfect sense to me, with all the logical categorizations and clarifications needed).
Saturn's square with Neptune, getting closer by the day and now less than five degrees, suggests that religions are undergoing examination and self-examination to find out what they are made of and how they can interact with other religions and the non-religious secular humanist culture around them. This is a large task on everyone's agenda for the next couple of years. It is emphasized today by Luna's position.
The Part of Fortune in the second house or field is good for considering financial matters and putting them in order. It might be less good for spending, for the lunar aspects could overemphasize emotional buying whims as escapism.
There may be confused or deceptive conditions around you. An attraction to the arts and music, visual or audible beauty, may be pronounced. These can bring healing, up to a certain point, at which the more spiritual approach is needed, leaping beyond mere vibrational beauty to the super-vibrations of divine love and harmony.
Venus opposite Neptune, exact today, is said by C. E. O. Carter to bestow divine discontent, "a constant restless seeking for an ideal not easily realisable on earth. This is particularly so in matters of the affections." Weepy romantic sentimental movies? Moaning over lost loves? Or, more happily, remembering those gone from one's life with uplifting happy thoughts and perceptions. Linking to the future and its best possibilities through the best realities of the past as starting points. Let's do that.
