~Waters Cannot Quench nor Dollars Feed Love~
/moon goes void-of-course at 4:05a PT | 7:05a ET | 11:05a UT ** /
all day until it enters Leo at 1:32a(Tu) PT | 4:32a(Tu) ET | 8:32a(Tu) UT
It's fortunate that lunar aspects are not harsh, because with the moon void-of-course all day and also Mercury still retrograde (until Friday), there could be much confusion and loss of direction.
We have already had enough of that. I don't know about you but the community college massacre of last week plus the U. S. bombing of a hospital run by the amazingly virtuous group Doctors Without Borders (where U. S. doctors volunteer their time to help those around the world who would not otherwise have medical help) was enough to "take the tar out of me" (as my mother used to say).
The hellfire, literally, which the U. S. military rained on those good people trying to do something virtuous in the world was described here:
http://www.rawa.org/temp/runews/2015/10/04/unspeakable-an-msf-nurse-recounts-the-attack-on-msf-s-kunduz-hospital.html
Six patients burned to death in their beds. Doctors volunteering there were killed by bombs. The scene was unbelievable.
Anyone who does not "believe in" Mercury retrograde is going to have to come to terms with all the havoc which could be prevented if people would just pay attention to Cosmic Piper, and a very few other astrologers who know how important this period is every time it happens. We are voices crying in the wilderness. If military commanders--and crazed college students--knew something about the dangers of these periods perhaps they would be able to prevent themselves from committing homicide and suicide. This is serious stuff. Cosmic Piper does not write these reports for fun. And those who make fun of Mercury being retrograde are going to have to acknowledge that they just don't know what is going on.
So, today, knowing the warning signals, let's keep ourselves calm and go about our business patiently and peacefully. Many things will be "out of pattern" and that is all right. Let's just do our best to recover so we can perform essentials, and be spiritually aware and creative within our own minds, keeping ourselves also in a state of prayer so we are alert to higher guidance, which we may need desperately.
Both Venus and Mars squaring Saturn have a lot to do with the tragedies in the public consciousness. The latter, increasing by the day (exact astronomically by Saturday this week), is the aspect of "hard love" or "love tested" or, sometimes, love bought or sold. Here it is described magnificently in the Book of Canticles from the Bible, otherwise known as Solomon's Song or the Song of Songs, Chapter 8, verses 6-7, variously interpreted as the Bridegroom addressing the Bride or the Bride addressing the Bridegroom:
Wear me as a seal upon your heart,
as a seal upon your arm;
for love is strong as death,
passion cruel as the grave;
it blazes up like blazing fire,
fiercer than any flame.
Many waters cannot quench love,
no flood can sweep it away;
if a man were to offer for love
the whole wealth of his house,
it would be utterly scorned.
(New English Bible translation)
This gets at the cruelty of love (Venus square Saturn), and its mixture with money, which is not here recommended! The pain of buying love, and wondering if that is really love; the pain of giving love for money, or selling love, and wondering if one ever really has loved--these are pains which afflict two different kinds of temperaments. I note that some are more likely to be the ones who "buy love" and others more likely to be the ones who "sell love." It is interesting. You will see it in various relationships. The verses above are a running commentary on all of that, and point out the depth of the "fiercer than flame" love which scorns buying and selling. That sometimes comes later, after the buying and selling phase has run its course. Selah. Please read those verses again. They are applicable to the present astrological situation. Let those verses slap you up a bit. (That's what happened to me.) It will help.
And if, after that, you are left with nothing but love for G*d, that is all right also.

"They that love without the adulteration of selfishness or the lust of sense come into the very presence of God."
"One good definition of love is that it is the feeling that excites desire for the welfare of its object."
