^Protective Kindness^
The symbols for the day speak of dependence, of fulfilling others' needs. This could begin with jealousy and resentment, a feeling of restriction; loving without power to evoke response; cramped and misanthropic feelings.
A good way to deal with this is to care about others' sufferings. "There is a large encampment of women, children, old people and invalids; a man at the gate is keeping guard." This person is "a knight, a defender of the defenseless, a benefactor of the poor and indigent."
Or one's kindness may extend to animals: "An albatross (sea bird) is feeding from the hand." Man "must ever take the initiative in meeting the needs of others if he is to expect them to stir appreciably and similarly in his own behalf." "If he reaps in life he must sow abundantly." The keyword is Nurture.
"A man is walking beside a cow, his hand on her back, bringing her home from the pasture at eventide." This symbol speaks for itself if there is anyone in your life you care about; to whom you feel protective.
