~Elevating Summer Doldrums~
Well, it's hot! That is, it could be, depending on where you are: and this is reflected in one of the day's symbols, "A man asleep in the heat of the day; some implements beside him." Is this laziness, or a wise response to debilitating weather? Signor Borelli from the 19th century is telling 21st century air-conditioning addicts to shape up and do something rather than be indolent.
Yet another symbol suggests we know how to gain money and look after it: "Heaps of gold and silver coin." Cryptocurrency? I leave that to others. Charubel warns against miserliness.
"An evening lawn party" is one way to spend money and time, with rewards in companionship and personality-expansion.
"Entering a dark tunnel" warns against getting stuck in pointless things, when one could have clung to saving influences.
One could have an elevated mind while enjoying the open country. "All the elements conspire to enchant the eye and hold the spirit in a mood of silent adoration." The changeful beauties of nature subsist around us and we could benefit by approaching them with appreciation.
Summer heat can make one sleepy. What is wrong with a nap? Or, while awake one can experience perfect equanimity, content with what is here while expecting something better: "A woman awaiting a sailboat."
