^Careful Direction^
We have entered the Month of the Lion (Leo), as of the time given in Tuesday's report, and now there is, on that very first day of the sign of Kings, the accession of Boris Johnson to the office of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. It is said that as a child, Boris stated that his ambition was to "become world king." And here he is, assuming high office on the second day of the Month of the King of Beasts. He will meet with the Queen today (Wednesday).
Interestingly, like Donald Trump he has that shock of yellow-orange hair and is a Gemini! (Born June 19, 1964.) Trump considers him a buddy (Gemini the sign of the Twins). The New York Times remarks on his "rare mix of charismatic bluster and an absent-minded air — either charming or maddening, depending on the listener and the moment — and his unusual gift for communicating with voters." Gemini is a sign of communication, ruled by Mercury. Trump's Tweet-ism is a symptom of that.
In the Sign of Cancer, ruled by the moon, we had, 50 years ago, the moon landing and moon walk, and on the final day of the sun's presence in Cancer this year (June 21) we had the successful launch in India of another moon mission. Fascinating. And then the next day, after the sun entered the sign of the Lion King of Beasts, we have the accession of Johnson. He will be presiding over the exit of Britain from the European Union, or the Brexit, scheduled to be complete by October 31. Both he and Trump, the Brexit Twins let us say, have favored that. Johnson assumes his position while Mercury, his ruling planet, is REtrograde, appropriately, since he will be presiding over a REtreat and a REdaction. I make no prediction on that.
Yesterday I re-posted a slimmed-down but still copious version of my report for the Month of the Crab. I have not written the same for the Month of the Lion (July 23 through August 22) and doubt that I shall. It was a lot of work. It was an experiment and a successful one in that I learned a lot from it. Here is a brief bit about the coming month of Leo: The balance between difficult and easy or smooth or pleasant aspects in the chart is exactly 1.00, or in other words, the same number of difficult aspects as easy ones. Whereas in the monthly chart for Virgo 2001 (attack on the WTC) the proportion was less than 1, as in the chart for Scorpio 1963 (assassination of JFK). In the monthly chart for a wonderful, thrilling month in my life (Pisces 1998) the proportion was a whopping 2.75. We can be glad that the 1.00 reading is much better than it was last month (only 0.54).
Wednesday: We ought to state what we believe, and not shirk a decisive attitude toward things of importance. Weakness is like "a pennant in the wind." We might be susceptible to the infection of debilitating notions, "An epidemic of mumps."
Whether the "pageant" of life demonstrates competence and glory or middling-muddling pretension, it is interesting. We have to give one another the benefit of the doubt while Mercury is retrograde, for premature judgment could be destructive.
"An arrow in mid-air" may have been shot with good aim yet fail to hit its mark exactly. We need to direct thoughts and prayers with the best aim we can summon.
"A storm in a canyon" could be "fatuous enjoyment of turmoil," a sort of self-hurting Schadenfreude. It's like the characters in a horror movie who stand stupidly staring at the monsters who are going to attack them. Rather, we could turn toward whomever or whatever is our real guide in this life and carry on in a docile manner toward the goals we really believe in, refusing to be hypnotized by "demons" or "mumps."
