Squabbling over politics has been rife and intense over the past week or more, astrologically a symptom of Mars and Mercury together squared to Uranus. That is a "fiery" aspect, intensified by Leo a fire sign in which Mars and Mercury lie. Of course it has good uses! Look for them yourself. A strong mind; the ability to be sharp in perceiving things and ferreting out facts or useful or interesting relationships. Go for it!---rather than moan about how fatalistic astrology is. (I am not blaming you the reader for that, but am blaming a correspondent who has made clear that while he is not going to study these reports or even read them he is going to blast away at how superstitious and fatalistic astrology "must be" according to his ideology.)
Some who think that I or other astrologers are charlatans may be charlatans themselves! That is, occupying offices for which they are not really qualified. We try what we choose to try, but should not be afraid to admit when we have made mistakes.
Narrow-minded bigots can be found in any religion (though most fatally and dangerously in Islam) but also people can be narrow-minded and bigoted about other topics, totally apart from religion, and in fact they seem to be so as much now as in any period of history. Many make a religion of their political ideology. One's religion should be a groundwork for appreciation of the whole human race, G*d's handiwork.
What explodes as anger in some is trained, corralled, guided into shapes by others who are "glass blowers" creating something wonderful with the warm energy which might have gone into fruitless battles. Let us do that.
Fruitless work which goes nowhere is another avenue of waste. What efforts are vacuous, yielding no result of value to you or anyone else? We are likely to fall into such "black holes" while Mercury is retrograde unless we are consciously trying to do things of value. Or, when unable to do even that, to think things of value, for the inner world has power during the retrograde period.
"A strong castle on a high rock" could be your habitation if you master fatuous impulses and laziness, remaining ambitious while withstanding enemies.
On another throne a dog may lie asleep. This is someone who presumes to have a position for which he is not fitted and has not earned. Also in the "throne room" are "a group of people who have overeaten and enjoyed it"---their satiety is not bad if it refreshes them and fits them for something good. Rewards are rewards, and do not have to be misused to the point of self-hurt.
