It's hard to avoid politics at this time. I prefer to avoid it when possible, but I feel deeply, apart from astrology, that the election of Donald Trump would be a disaster for the world, and he is ahead--if you can believe that--in many polls. That is an enormous danger. I am not the type to go out ringing doorbells or manning phone banks in campaigns, but I support Hillary Clinton as at this moment perhaps the only hope of the world, given the alternative. And so to help her all I can do is comment on her horoscope here, which shows a great deal about her which her detractors fail to understand. I'll be doing that as the days go on. And I wish I could make that knowledge available to far more than the couple hundred, at most, who now read these reports. That is why I complained yesterday about feeling nobody was noticing what I was saying.
Meanwhile, for Thursday: There is a huge slew of aspects. I would always love to choose the sweet ones and ignore the others, but as a friend and client told me years ago, "Your good predictions always fail and your negative ones always succeed." Because he was basically a pessimist and felt that nothing was going right in his life. But he was right in one respect: It is far easier to notice the hard aspects because they are the ones which keep us going, fighting, struggling, and winning (sometimes losing in order to learn and try again). The soft aspects are there, they sustain us, but we hardly notice them, we take them for granted. "Of course I should have no pain, enough to eat, time to sleep, etc." It is those very things the good aspects provide us, and we don't say thanks! So if I mention them, you will think I am sappy and silly.
It's a tough day! Firm up! Develop some muscle! Things are hard! Mercury is square Mars, anger, irritation, yelling and screaming, complaining and fighting! Well, probably some of that. Venus is beginning to square Mars. Your loved one is elsewhere, doesn't care, doesn't seem to even like you, disagrees with you on too much!
But that gives us strength and muscle. We develop faith and persistence.
Back to politics, I can't help it: One thing I want to teach the world is that the reason many dislike or are suspicious of Hillary Clinton is that she has in her birth chart both of these aspects we are suffering today, Mars square Mercury (from Leo to Scorpio in her chart) and Mars square Venus (also from Leo to Scorpio in her chart). Further, Saturn and Pluto are in the square also, to both Mercury and Venus. That is not an easy chart. That is why she calls herself a "fighter" and has displayed that trait. That is why some dislike her--because she has to step on some toes to get things done, and learn over and over from her failures how to be diplomatic and still get things done. That is one reason for admiring her--she was dealt a very difficult birth-chart and developed the strength and persistence to become--I hope--the President of the United States. Pretty remarkable, and a lesson to all who complain about their "terrible" horoscopes.
So, we can't complain about today and the coming days when those two aspects shall prevail. Venus is trining Uranus, good for a certain sort of free, unbound, freedom-granting love or friendship, and the sun is trining Saturn, good for business and solid planning.
Back to Hillary, even if you are tired of the topic: Tonight is her night, when she accepts the nomination. I hope all will listen to her speech. I think that she is being set up by the good forces to win this election, but that does not mean she will win. The evil forces are there too, and they are hypnotizing millions to believe in that con artist and swindler, Donald Trump. He is a slanderer, big-time, and that is what "Devil" means in the Scriptures, according to scholars--the slanderer.
He has an easy chart! While she has a very difficult one. That shows how superficial it is to call easy aspects "good" and hard aspects "bad." Hillary would not have the strength and skill she has if she had been born with a too-easy chart, most likely. Donald's too-easy chart has made him a narcissist who thinks the world belongs to him. If it did, he might destroy it, just as he destroyed some of his own businesses by going bankrupt. His easy chart makes him over-optimistic to the point of recklessness. We do not want a loose cannon in charge of nuclear weapons.
The Mercury square Mars aspect today can be nervous and hasty, with discord and over-aggressiveness from some, or an attempt to do so much at once that one stumbles and then curses the world for one's problems. Yet it can also be a stimulus to ambition and quick settlement of things through sharply perceptive action or prowess. Not blaming anyone else would be a key to that, while just going about one's business with alacrity.
If you need a dessert in this report, it is the trine of both Venus and Mercury with Uranus, giving some smooth latitude and mutual interest in personal connections and communications. Chatting with someone intriguing, for example.
