From the above you can see that we need to keep a firm watch on ourselves and avoid floundering when forces around us seem to be against us. In reality they are our friends, believe it or not, trying to teach us something.
There is a strong emphasis on learning, study, and career. You want to use your skills in a way that will benefit people. This is not easy. You get some applause, but not enough! You have to carry on without it, or with the applause you give yourself.
The pressures are not impossible. You think of a friend often and you may dedicate your work to him or her in some fashion. Difficult research in business or in the area of your expertise could have wonderful results but is likely to take longer than you thought. That is all right--it enables you to go deeper and be more thorough. The Retrograde phase of Mercury is a "re" phase--a good time for research, rethinking, even renaissance. What is misleading will fall away if you are sincere and serious. There is a tricky side to it, of course. It is good to beware of mistakes and to keep your eye on the clock to avoid pointless delay, backtracking or side issues.
If you feel you are being tested or challenged, that is not surprising. This can be good for you in many ways because it brings out deeper and perhaps surprising facets of your talents or skills you would not have found otherwise.
