Receive rather than give. Sea gulls may

Perch in the cavern but their eyes turn toward
A ship in the bay as they maintain vigilance
To capture what they can from fleeting opportunity.
The cries of the gulls are happy sounds to the ears of

A girl playing a lyre on the arm of which hangs
A wreath of laurels. She interprets the finer emotions
Of the soul. Her golden hair is another clue that she
Is a goddess of opportunity. Nature takes care of
/
Her own. Irresistible confidence reaches out to
The wonders of self and world. Reward!
