I shall not claim that late tonight we shall all enter on a new, satisfying way of life, in accord with the time above for the fresh Epoch, but I believe we are entering a period of two months during which we can get a grip on our destiny with greater facility. Probably this will be more evident tomorrow.

Rivalry, concentration. The sun shines brightly
In a cloudless sky so that the shooter imagines
Himself the master of the world, foolishly.
He becomes an officer who goes on dress parade,
His dignified protocol flaunting self-assurance.
One day his stewardship and dedication
Bring him recognition, two awards for bravery.
There are ways to be a hero; also ways to float
And recover family fortunes, salvaging a wreck.
