^Released from Self-Centeredness^
Moon in Aries
'An old woman seated on a stool with a hooded cloak wrapped closely round her' is selfish and jealous, with no interest in 'the common lot of humanity,' -- melancholy, silent and misanthropic. Or, if she mellows a little, she could be more like 'an owl sitting in the moonlight,' -- wise, prudent, and self-possessed. Then she or he might study astronomy, astrology, or something distant and occult. This might include 'philosophical speculations and abstruse theories.'
'A man on crutches' is going through an unfortunate period. He could be part of 'a large encampment of women, children, old people and invalids. A man at the gate is keeping guard.' One might wish to be 'a benefactor of the poor and indigent; a true knight.'
'A man unmasked' could be someone you begin to understand at a deeper level, as if you had brought him or her to account through savvy analysis. People's underlying motivations are not always pretty, unless one can penetrate deeper to the ideals they are unsuccessfully imitating, which would be worthy if stripped of self-centeredness. Ultimately, people nurture one another intentionally or unintentionally; the symbol is 'an albatross feeding from the hand.' At the human level this could be a baby, child, or dependent. By meeting others' needs one is karmically fitted to receive cooperation from someone else when needed.
