One might realize how much music means to one's ability to foster harmony in life.
"Continuous variations come to dramatize an infinite potentiality in the whole,' like 'a large group of pheasants.' One pursues 'every personal aspiration' through illimitable domains. Above the pheasants soars 'a big white dove, a message bearer.' One may receive 'inspiration and assurance' from 'a transcendental or superior wisdom.' Then common contacts (with the pheasants or peasants!) are prompted by naive insight or firm conviction. The ordinary is dignified and spiritualized.
Some bask in positions of authority, yet those very privileges require secrecy, caution and reserve, if they are to remain intact, whether in government or elsewhere. Who in government will protect the sacredness of free, unregimented communication? That would be a king indeed, whom we sorely need. He seems a long time coming, like 'a great tortoise' whose plodding disposition conceals great powers of endurance, an even disposition and a placid mind. Somewhat retired and philosophical, his or her activities are providential and earn esteem.
