The void-of-course period (for 16 hours) is not always a huge problem, but this time we have some strong warning signals, such as 'a lonely traveler in a solitary way, with a heavy burden on his back, is assaulted by ruffians.' One might feel imposed upon or wronged in the 'struggle for existence.' Another symbol is perhaps worse, 'a man with arms folded, unmindful of danger; behind him is a secret enemy.' We should not be paranoid, yet perhaps 'mindful of danger' in a calm manner. Perhaps you are aware of the dangers someone else is encountering and might be able to protect. (Some warn of the dangers of Covid to the 'unvaccinated' while others warn of the dangers of the vaccines and boosters themselves, and there is much information, both anecdotal and statistical, often censored, to confirm these latter warnings. Each has to decide for himself or herself.)
Some may feel their efforts are held from fulfillment even though aimed at goals of undoubted merit. 'A bent stalk is bearing a full ear of corn,' that is, someone 'bent by the winds of adversity' nevertheless gives out 'an extraordinary amount of learning and will be popularly appreciated.' Not all is difficult, for Venus and Mars together form good aspects with other planets. There is 'a soft cloudy cumulus upon a bright horizon.' Despite warnings in the previous paragraph, some will be 'pliant, sympathetic, adaptable to environment, hopeful and confident, receiving many favors from Fortune as the friend and associate of those who have influence and power in the land.'
If symbolic 'ruffians' send one to a symbolic 'hospital,' still there may be 'many toys in the children's ward.' 'Transient accidents of circumstance' cannot impede one's ability to develop real potentialities. The 'hospital' visit is 'an unrealized opportunity for a deeper fellowship.' The 'richness of life' could take the form of 'toys' or other pleasing abundance. One lesson of the day seems to be detachment. 'A man is turning his back on his passions and teaching from his experience.' From self-obsession one turns to 'generous and broad participation in everyday life.' 'The self assimilates itself to its own higher vision and so achieves an outer selflessness.' This is serenity, which could 'teach' others through 'a genuine peace of inner understanding.'
