\Continuity Throughout Testing/

Moon in Capricorn
|Karmically serious or challenging third| of this week continues until 7:20p PT | 10:20p ET | 2:20a(W) UT

Here is what I said about Brett Kavanaugh two days after he was nominated by Trump (on July 11; he was nominated on the 9th):

"I have not said anything about Trump's choice of Supreme Court justice. I do not approve of him, not so much on political grounds as when I saw and heard him last night right after he was announced, I did not like him. Just didn't like him. I said to someone nearby, 'I don't trust him.' I trust my judgment of faces and body language.

"Nevertheless it is fascinating that Trump chose Monday to announce his decision, and Jupiter, the ruler of judges (since ancient times in astrology) turned direct less than a day later, on Tuesday at 1:04 p.m. Eastern Time.  The fact that it was still retrograde when Trump made the choice, plus the fact that it is in Scorpio, a fixed sign, hints at the very "safe" conservative choice. Whether this indicates something good or bad depends on your viewpoint, I suppose. Many on the right are saying that they would have much preferred the one woman under consideration, Amy Barrett. Having a young mother of seven children on the Court strikes me as the right way to go. We have enough old fuddy-duddies there already. It happens that both she and Kavanaugh are Aquarians. Trump picked the wrong Aquarian. Scorpio is the 10th field or "house" of Aquarius, the field of career, so Jupiter being there makes sense. If somehow the Democrats could prevent Kavanaugh from getting on the Court I would be pleased, if that meant Ms. Barrett or someone better had a chance.  (That does not mean that I agree with the Democrats on all issues involving the Court; not at all. But I try to keep this from being a political forum; there is enough of that elsewhere.)"

Professor of law John Culhane of Delaware Law School said in Politico Monday:  " This debacle can be traced back to Trump’s insistence on nominating Kavanaugh despite warnings that he would be a difficult candidate to push through on an expedited basis. " And when did Trump nominate Kavanaugh? On July 9, two days after a Dark Hermetic Epoch began. People make more mistakes during those periods, as I have been saying repeatedly here for a decade.  Now, during a Bright Epoch, the mistake is being seen.

The current controversy surrounding Kavanaugh has other clear astrological correlates. Mars is in Aquarius, moving very slowly, and he is moving toward a square with Venus in Scorpio! That, for him, is Christine Ford. Scorpio can be the sign of sex, of sexual indiscretion or crime, as well as of death (she said that she felt Kavanaugh might kill her). I am not judging this case. That is for others to do, and ultimately for G*d alone, but the planets are telling a story. And it's a long one, because since Venus is going to turn retrograde, the exact square of these two won't come until the second week of October. Interestingly, the sun soon, and then, will be in Libra the sign of the law (the scales and balance). Not only are there star-crossed lovers, there are star-crossed non-lovers and apparently star-crossed judges.

Uranus involved in this shows the suddenness, surprisingness, and harshness of it. On the weekend and on Tuesday the closest hard aspect in our heavens is Mars square Uranus, exact. Neither of these planets are "nice guys" ordinarily, although they can be civilized under appropriate circumstances. Uranus rules Aquarius, Kavanaugh's sign, and I said in the quotation above from July that he was "the wrong Aquarian" for Trump to pick because a female Aquarian was also on his short list. Maybe now he wishes he had picked her instead, as I wished he would have done back then! I have also pointed out in these columns that Aquarian males can be sexually harsh, even cruel, even predators. I have noted it frequently in people known to me and in public figures. Still, that does not give me the right to judge this case.  (Mrs. Ford's birthdate is unavailable online at present, not even the year.)

Tuesday:   Not everything that glitters is gold, and not every "spirit" or invisible inspiration is veridical. The word Spirit as capitalized is virtually synonymous with G*d, and it is to Him or Her that we must turn for true guidance. Still, human skills and ambitions can bring good fortune. The more "righteous" they are the longer will the fortune last, from the viewpoint of Eternity. "A gold rush" might be fatuous excitement leading to loss, or real opportunity.

That which is old, or endearing because enduring, may seem unfashionable and yet compelling, because it speaks to the soul. This could be music, a TV show, movie, or book.  Perhaps even a person not digitalized!  Some remain sociable and cordial past young adulthood, middle age and older age.  People need each other even for gossip. Or for unfeigned, honest friendliness.

Travel for discovery might fit in with travel for career.  Or this could be armchair travel or philosophizing. It's a good time to get illumination on everything important to you.  Even you could map out practical plans quite astutely this week and stay with them. "A boy with a censer" knows somehow that there is an "odor of sanctity" around him and his world if he chooses to be open to it, and that experience grants him rapture. All will be well.

This is the last day of the "unexpected thunderstorm" symbol. It comes from Mars's position in Aquarius, and Kavanaugh being  a male Aquarian, it is obvious for him. As for the rest of us, we may know what it means in some area of our lives where something unexpected has come up to derail things apparently.  That can make us wiser and stronger. Then we build patiently with our hearts in our tasks, and continuity of effort brings sure reward. (A plant, shrub or tree could be a symbol of this.)
