During this Dark Hermetic Epoch, July 24 through September 18 :
Amazing interruptions to the general routine. There was Charlottesville, August 12, which set the country into a tizzy, accusations of Nazism or racism on all hands, removal and defacing of statues, on and on. There was Harvey, August 26 until now. There was Irma, September 9 until now, and both of them continuing because of the enormous amount of reworking and rebuilding and clean-up required in both Texas and Florida. There were fulminations and legitimate worries over North Korea's behavior--nuclear development and missile tests. There was the solar eclipse which had people traveling to strange places to view it, August 21.
I did not travel to view the eclipse and I did not go out demonstrating over Charlottesville and I was not a victim of the hurricanes, and yet . . . I, and everyone, went through unusual interruptions and changes in routine. Many of them are voluntary. The hurricane was involuntary. But I found myself changing my schedules frequently, abandoning routines for something fresh or bracing. This was usually okay even though it seemed irresponsible or lax. Is this not true of you also? We do things in "out-of-pattern" ways. And that may continue just as much over the next week as previously, until Tuesday the 19th. We need a vacation, perhaps, but since most of us can't have one we put variations into our routines.
Then there are memories. When you are free of duties and are relaxing or lying down, do you not remember things from the past which seem compelling in fresh ways, as if you were reliving some of them? This to me is a wonderful aspect of the DHE. I would say that anyone who wants to write a memoir ought to do it entirely during DHE periods. Since they make up nearly half the time, that would not be hard to do.
There are dreams, often unusually vivid or meaningful ones, lucid or almost-lucid dreams.
There is postponement, otherwise known as "slipping behind," of which I have done quite a lot.
On the positive side there can be unusually meaningful communications with people which touch the soul level. These might be fractious at times, because of planetary aspects, but not always. At best they are telepathic, revealing, and loving.
And there is an appreciation of calm, peace, rest. Our souls seem to need to be free of external compulsions and endless forced labor during these times, so they can retreat into a womb-like or chrysalis-like state of consciousness which seems almost timeless, or able to time-travel willy-nilly anywhere into the past or present.
Wednesday:
There is an experimental mode, with Mercury and Mars close together in Virgo. There could be investigation of machinery, technology, or chemical, dietetic or medicinal matters. The new Apple products may be stimulating much investigation or trial-and-error.
Charubel suggests we might become aware of a true man or true woman who could lead us into a new era. I leave it to you to sense who that might be. It could just be someone notable who is important to you right now in your thinking.
One could be audacious in displaying oneself or one's gifts, "A bareback rider." At the same time there are diversions or pleasures, "A merry-go-round." The hard aspects to Saturn of the sun and moon could mute these, but the good Venus aspects could enhance them. Duties first; then some delightful escape.
Our Victorian clairvoyants warn us often of sexual indiscretions; today: "A well-favoured woman, but of evil aspect, stands before a mirror." The mother of Snow White! Or ourselves, perhaps flattering ourselves as to our seductive powers. Considering the good Venus aspects, this could be harmless.
There are further hints of someone wonderful, extraordinary, a good person who is a leader, perhaps on the spiritual plane or perhaps more mundanely. This is someone both intelligent and intuitive, who has followers well-guided by him or her.
