The perhaps clumsily termed |difficult third| of this week was intense for many on Tuesday, when the determining aspect, Luna square Saturn, was exact mid-day. It is still with us but as you can see, things get better as the day proceeds.
As for Irma, we determined two weeks ago that the opposition of the sun with Neptune began (by ten degrees) exactly when Harvey hit Texas. Now that aspect is exact, by less than one degree on Monday and Tuesday, and Irma is Category 5 (most intense) while Harvey was 4 at its maximum. So there may be something to the fact that Neptune "rules" the ocean and storms connected with it.
Further, the sun is square Saturn, always a difficult one to face, and that will be exact a week from now on the 12th-14th. Today I heard on NPR the sad story of the seven Navy men who were killed on June 17. The sun was square Saturn within two degrees, and also the moon's position put that day within the |karmically serious or challenging third| of that week. These periods are very crucial which is why I list them every week at the start of the forecast. I do not know how that information could have prevented those deaths. Perhaps by encouraging the officers of the ship to beef up their security arrangements on such days.
The whole sun-square-Saturn period this time, by ten degrees, is from September 3 through the 23rd. This can be a depressing time. The best way to cure the depression is (1) by keeping up one's spiritual consciousness through study, prayer, and mantra (Mary Baker Eddy who was a champion of that method through her Christian Science was born with the sun square Saturn, showing that it was her mission to overcome that aspect, and she did a remarkable job of it) and by (2) facing Saturn issues, that is, work, extra duties, and so on, with patience and fortitude, and by (3) being patient with people who are all feeling this aspect though they know nothing about it and so may disappoint you by their negative attitudes. Praying for those who seem inimical is a Christian therapy.
Thursday:
Setting: "Sunshine just after a storm" may be a premature symbol for those in the Caribbean and Florida, but it may signify that people are looking forward to the storm's end and preparing for it. Probably storm-preparation will go better today than yesterday. Storm or not, there is a sort of snoopy interest in other people and what they are doing.
Game Plan: Impulses are strong, perhaps headstrong or rash. One is enthusiastic and restless. Yet to get to what one wants one may have to "wade through mud knee-deep." (An apt symbol for the storm.) One must not let hope perish, but keep on keeping on.
Issue: "A large white cross upraised" could be the prayer already recommended. It could also be a "Red Cross," that is, the efforts of many to help others during the storm, or in other ways for those (most of us) luckily stormless. We are challenged to be our best for the sake of others. Meanwhile along that path there can be festivity, interesting costumes or clothing, and casually formed associations which are advantageous.
Meditation: One ought not to be too solitary, if that means being in a dangerous isolated spot (this could be appropriate to those affected by the storm; in other ways for the rest of us). One needs amicable relations with all. What would you do if facing an orangutan? Visualize yourself making friends with him or her.
