Two Messages, for Saturday and Sunday September 9-10, 2017
I cannot claim that there is a perfect astrological way of anticipating or predicting hurricanes. We already know without astrology that they occur in August or September usually. My first "filter" after that, to find times when they are likely to occur, would be the Dark Hermetic Epochs. Case in point: The last huge hurricane to his the U. S. , Katrina in 2005, hit New Orleans at its strongest, and caused the most suffering, on August 29, 2005, the final day of a Dark Hermetic Epoch. This was a confirmation of my method of calculating those (a very precise method) as was the attack of 9/11/2001 which occurred on the very first day of a Dark Hermetic Epoch. Those are the times (a little less than half of all times) when the worst disasters happen, without a doubt. But also it appears that hard aspects to Neptune, ruler of the sea and of rain, have a lot to do with it, for Mars was square Neptune by less than a degree on 9/29/05, and by the 10.5 degree orb I use for applying aspects (only 9.5 for separating ones), Saturn began an opposition with Neptune exactly on 9/29/05 when Katrina did its worst damage. And of course that aspect, as well as the Mars square, remained in effect during the cleanup and salvage efforts of the coming weeks. Further the sun was opposite Uranus in Pisces (Neptune's sign) within three degrees on the 29th.
And what do we have now? Mars is opposing Neptune by a ten degree orb exactly beginning Saturday, September 9, 2017 (or on Friday by the 10.5 degree orb for applying aspects). Saturday afternoon is the time when the experts are saying everyone should have been already evacuated. And Saturn has been square Neptune during the whole Harvey-plus-Irma period, from June 18 through September 29. I shall not predict the force of Irma as it hits Florida or the amount of damage it shall do. I am content to note these astrological correspondences as pieces of a puzzle to be put together ultimately by astrologers over the centuries. The fact that both Mars and Saturn, the two "malefic" planets according to the ancients, are in hard aspect with Neptune as Irma approaches during a Dark Hermetic Epoch is enough to suggest that it might be a harsh one.
Another interesting fact is that when Harvey hit, the moon was in Scorpio and in the Via Combusta. As Irma hits, the Part of Fortune will be in the 8th house (or the Part of Life in Scorpio, which is the same thing), corresponding in a general way to the sign Scorpio. These are the signs and houses of "death" according to the ancients, but according to moderns, of possible regeneration through challenge. Let us hope it will be the latter.
Astrology is a spiritual system, a system of spiritual guidance, and not a submission to the blind fate of planetary movements. These merely indicate what we need to face as challenges to our growing spiritual awareness and ethical sublimity.

Setting: Scientific instruction is important. You might take "scientific" as meaning anything requiring precise study or observation. There is sagacity and cool strength. One wants to defend the weak or helpless.
Game Plan: Someone with a brilliant intellect is basically kind and sympathetic. Yet some others will be aloof or seem to think slightingly of their good friends. They want popularity but try in a wrong way to get it. How can mental skill be used beneficially for all?
Issue: It is good to rest in a place where those of differing ages support one another, the older guarding the younger. There can also be angelic protection from above, for those who have developed conscious faith and high-mindedness.
Meditation: People will sense what is happening or going to happen through an internal ouija board, as it were. This could degenerate into the ridiculous but at best is a freedom to let loose one's distinctive or unique qualities so that the game of life is ever-interesting.

Setting: There is congeniality, "A houseboat party." In Florida? The Keys are said to be one of the most threatened areas, because so low. But people will find something good to celebrate. People will want to play games in rather artificial settings, such as shelters, or for those of us not affected by the storm, other places colorful yet conventional.
Game Plan: Foolishness and obstinacy are a danger, as for example in those refusing to get out of the storm's path. Arrogant pride gets criticism. People will have trouble disposing of waste, or there are restroom issues, yet frugality and industry can set things right.
Issue: Those who feel rugged and strong will want to chase something or someone. This could be a romp through the country for those so situated. Those of differing races or lifestyles become intimate with one another, like it or not.
Meditation: People want to be free and distinctive, letting their special destiny manifest rather than worry how it looks. Some are in a hurry to get things done, and so eliminate whatever gets in their way. They themselves could be eliminated from a "swimming race" as it were. No swimming in Florida flood waters I hope. Rather, we each know what we want to live up to and can do our best.
