Moon in Pisces
|Karmically challenging third| of this week continues (until very late Wednesday)   ** |

Despite the |difficult third| period, there is a lot of sweetness and simplicity in the aspects. I think the holiday period is carrying over into today. Life's easy pleasures are not to be despised. My chief astrological guru, Marc Edmund Jones, together with other astrologers from an earlier era, was an ethicist and proponent of the necessity for each individual to work and learn and prove himself or herself. So he did not like to give people much slack in his demanding astrological interpretations and judgments.  In emulating him, I sometimes feel like a killjoy. So today I will say: You already know what you need to do to live up to your own standards, and the |difficult third| is prompting you to do that unless you want to feel miserable about yourself. So I will say: There are also moments or hours in this day for sheer relief and recreation or re-creation. We need those in order to make the rest tolerable and ultimately worthwhile.

As for the "boondoggles" which turn up with Mercury being retrograde, we can handle those patiently especially because we know what to expect. Those who do not know about the Mercury cycles are at a disadvantage because they feel more depressed about the MR delays, pressures and confusions, thinking that they will go on forever--or that they are "losing it" completely. The MR period ends this coming Sunday the 8th, but the Dark Hermetic Epoch ( a lesser version of MR) continues until the 27th.

In a world without work or care, this 10th Day of Christmas would be good for utter and complete relaxation, reverie, restoration, and simple uncontroversial non-hurtful pleasures. In a world of work and care, I hope these words will help you navigate smoothly, plus enjoy some of the former boons when possible responsibly.
