Hey guys, are you even reading the news?
Does anybody care?
Did the Republicans really gut the ethics panel? And then, embarrassed by the outcry from people who thought that said Republicans had voted to end "ethics," retract their gutting? Did Donald Trump pretend to care about ethics, so he could save face politically, after the Republicans had lost face, including Donald's, by their stupid assumption that everybody would think they were wonderfully ethical by eliminating an ethics panel? And did Donald then tweet that "This is not the time to do that" so that the Republicans, following obsequiously their leader, restored the ethics panel? When no ethics whatever was involved in their or his decision, only political expediency?
Is Mercury retrograde?
I am not saying the ethics panel is good. It has made, and can make, unfair judgments. I am just saying that while Mercury is retrograde, people don't know what the hell they are doing.
Did Russia hack the American election? The Democratic Party? The FBI says so. Julian Assange says Russia has nothing to do with it. Does anybody care, or know, or what the hell does that all mean anyway?
Is Mercury retrograde?
What is happening in Israel? Does Netanyahu know what he is doing? Should there be more and more Israeli settlements, scuttling any peace treaty? Is Obama right to finally declare his independence from Israel and condemn its refusal to abide by any rational agreement? Is Trump right to say "Whatever Israel wants, Israel gets"? Does anybody know what the hell is going on there?
Is Mercury retrograde?
The Republicans want to destroy Obamacare within the next two or three months. Does anybody know what they will put in its place to give health care to the millions who will be deprived of it by their action? Do they know? Do they care? Does Trump want to lose the support of the millions of low-income, blue-collar workers who voted for him who now get medical insurance under the Affordable Care Act but will lose it if his Republicans gut it? Does anybody have a plan? Do the Republicans want to "gut" Obamacare without replacing it, but postpone the end of it for a few years, so that maybe it would actually happen when a Democrat is elected in 2020, so that he or she will be blamed for the loss of medical insurance by millions, thanks to this disgusting partisan strategy?
Does anybody care or know?
Is Mercury retrograde?
I for one have almost given up reading the news, because every day there are further revelations of utter confusion leading to worse confusion.
So, in my view, we are doing well if we just keep our own lives together somehow.
Yes, Mercury is retrograde.
Here is the rest of the Fortnightly report for January 5-19, the gibbous or "fat" moon Fortnight including the Full Moon at its center (the first half of the report was given yesterday):
The "trial and error" of life which is a necessity for us to remain alive could be mostly error for a while, in appearance. Mars and Jupiter are stirring each other up, which can be excitation of enthusiasms spinning in directions which do not add up to profit in any definite value-scheme. However, the experience is an experience, and it makes us interested in others' struggles also. Budgeting could seem chaotic. Entertainment at home could be thrilling at times, and then in afterview one wonders what was gained. But ultimately there is stabilization in job or career routines, as Mercury regains poise after the 8th. People become more friendly when they feel their basic energies and ambitions are sustainable. Gambles or games might prove stimulating.
Venus conjoined to Neptune could be erotic aberrations, or platonic love in artistic settings. At a higher level it suggests mass action, or being sensitive to the needs of all humanity. One gains tangibly through welfare activities which benefit others. This may be selfless in sentiment, though gainful in reality. It is friendliness shared among beneficent smiling personalities. It brings a broader realization to one's work. One does not feel imprisoned when aiding others to feel less imprisoned. This can be through cheer, humor, and entertainment in a family-community setting.
Uranus opposite Jupiter is antsy, wanting unlimited freedom to be oneself and express whatever has been suppressed. Any partner is likely to be feeling his or her need for freedom, and one has to accommodate that in order to have one's own freedom. In the world of communication and opinions, the latter are sharp and felt as keys to liberty, so not modified easily. Any illness or discomfort is likely to be a result of an intense, nervous need to eliminate boundaries (when some of those may be necessary to well-being). One may feel one has to give oneself a "restraining order" in regard to someone to whom one feels strong attraction. What gets the other person going, stimulated, alive, has to be recognized and accommodated if there is not to be a schism accompanied by fireworks. How does she sing, and what is he singing? It's a different song from yours. If you appreciate that, things get better.
Many issues will be resolved by focusing on practical order in one's life (a T square focused on the sun and Pluto in Capricorn)---so if that is a constant, a thread running through everything else, things should go well.
