We muddle through. Certainly investors must feel that way, with the stock market remaining stagnant. Politicians must feel that way, with neither major American party unified. Things may look pretty bleak. The lunar indications above do not help. So we need to be patient, tolerant of others and ourselves, and of our own mistakes, while trying of course to avoid making them all over again.
It is hard to recommend, in this go-get-'em culture, a period of rest, repose, and review, but those "re" words are what the Mercury Retrograde period enjoins upon us. That planet will turn direct on Sunday, though the Dark Hermetic Epoch (of which the retrograde period is always the center) will continue until June 7. Meanwhile, especially today, we might well emulate the legendary behavior of the ostrich, or of Alfred E. Neumann: "What, me worry?" Standing still is better than running toward a cliff. Watching others run and stumble is better than running and stumbling with them, unable to help. So we need that calm perspective, which is not laziness but patient poise. Trying to hurry the slow emergence of a butterfly from its cocoon would ruin everything. There is a time for "benign neglect."

Cosmic Piper
The Lord will accomplish his purpose for me.
Thy true love, O Lord, endures for ever;
Leave not thy work unfinished.
