The four stars are contingent on our ability to bounce, be alert, jump when needed and doze when needed. In other words the Mercury Retrograde period is intense and things are "funny." They are "out of pattern." But often highly revealing and sometimes thrilling.
Yesterday while on the street a 20-something young man nodded and smiled at me and I thought "Henry!" But it couldn't have been Henry Weingarten the astrologer because he is at least 70 and lives in New York. Mercury Retrograde reveals to us the mysteries of Time. There is another Henry Weingarten, or the old one has taken on a rebirth, or we are in a time-warp when we meet people from decades ago, or . . . you give the explanation. I find it wonderful.
People "blend at the edges" at these times. What they say may or may not make sense in a rational way but its deeper interpretation will mean something unexpected and amazing. All this could be specially true today because the effective aspect most of the day and evening is Luna trine Mercury. Conversations with friends could be uplifting and amazing, as if you were finding yourself anew through them, and they through you.
You may also rejoice in certain material, mundane, money or business factors which fall together serendipitously. We are in a "good luck" period with Venus moving up on her trine to Jupiter while Mercury is doing the same albeit backwards. What might not have worked out financially is working out! Somehow.
A New Moon (or Fresh Luna) has snuck up on us as well. This is not always a simple time to understand but one feels optimism stirring along some line or other. There is a childlikeness and freshness about things. "Why not?" one thinks, to possibilities which might have seemed impossible a few days ago. Doubtless this applies also to those in Alberta who have lost their homes and possessions in that overwhelming fire. They are experiencing Mercury Retrograde in a huge way which, fortunately, most of us never experience--the need to start over from scratch, as it were. Yet in some smaller way we all feel that today. The hope is intense and tangible.
It is best for those who have some philosophic, religious or spiritual orientation which secures their peace of mind, for the T square focused on Mars and Saturn retrograde in Sagittarius requires of us just such a reliable orientation. I don't know how to discuss G*d here because so many have concepts of Him or Her which are at variance with what I have understood and experienced, and so we seem to be talking a different language. But the current setup is "requiring" everyone to come to terms with the Ultimate in one way or another. "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders will have toiled in vain. Unless the Lord keeps watch over a city, in vain the watchman stands on guard." --Psalm 126
And for the New Moon:
"Turn once again our fortune, Lord,
as streams return in the dry south.
Those who sow in tears
shall reap with songs of joy.
A man may go out weeping,
carrying his bag of seed;
but he will come back with songs of joy,
carrying home his sheaves."
