There is a desire or need to reform those who are falling short. This could be religious or spiritual leaders, or others in the professions, business or government. Those who have achieved status and presume to teach or lead others are held to high standards by those they teach or lead. Then there is the more lonely individual who, seeing all the hypocrisy, tries to follow his own unconventional path, not without many difficulties. Yet he may develop singular character and his own brand of power.

There is danger of receding too much into the background. While Mercury is retrograde (as now), that can be a wise move, but today it is better to overcome such lassitude and get on with things. Prospering indications are present for those who persist.

Timidity can be overcome. There are so many possibilities: you have to be on the alert to detect them at the right time. Then you can grasp things when they are available; confront the world's confusing forces and prevail.

You have a knack for solving conundrums or enigmas. This you could do even when it seems you are getting inadequate returns on other investments of time and energy. Untangling mysteries has a value both within you, granting confidence, and outside, suggesting better courses of action.
 
The direct approach is good, even when you doubt. The smoke of uncertainty will clear away as you proceed. Otherwise, if you just retreat to a cavern in a rock, opportunities will pass you by. Courage will not go without its reward.

You are prepared for more than you realize. And you can increase that preparation by aspiring toward goals which seem remote but inspire you to immediate thought and activity. Your exploration may seem random, yet fruitful eventually.

Self-reliance of the right sort eventually confers the ability to govern. You can keep practicing, and develop abilities. This is not being harsh on yourself, but forcing yourself to proceed past random gambles to assured skills.

You don't have to be vindictive toward anyone who has fallen short of the ideals he or she ought to be living. That would make things worse. You can urge improvement in more subtle ways.

If you feel estranged from many in power positions, you can follow your own path of integrity, more or less apart from them (but, a warning: I don't ever recommend quitting a job or a relationship while Mercury is retrograde), and develop your own internal authority, which some will appreciate and reward.

An explorative, inquiring, testing instinct has career applications, if not entirely devoted to career. You want to test out what is possible in order to know how to administer responsibilities in your chosen field. (Do you sometimes wonder whether you chose it or it chose you?) You may feel comfortable with more than one alternative and let them sift themselves out through experience.

I have to say something I don't want to say. It is possible that some who are planning diabolical evil (although they will probably not realize it is diabolical or evil) may succeed in their researches and strategies in a huge way. Their evil minds detect how to proceed with criminal intent and figure out defensive tactics successfully. Their intent is to hurt. Of course, in their sick minds they probably believe those they want to hurt deserve it. Protective influences are also present. Some individuals who see the danger are trying to circumvent it. Some do that directly, through specific awareness of specific situations and their details (as in police work). Others do it indirectly through spiritual power.

It is interesting that the Pope offered his resignation (February 10 or 11) two days after the Dark Hermetic Epoch began. I have said repeatedly over the years that more people resign (or are fired) during the Dark Hermetic Epochs than at other times. And so during this Mercury Retrograde period (the temporal center of the Dark Hermetic Epoch), the church is struggling to come to terms with the whole situation. We may expect clearer indications of what is likely to happen from March 17 to the middle of April.

Of course, much as the Church would like it otherwise, politics is mixed with the selection of a Pope. Likewise, today you may be aware of political issues and ponder what to think and do about them. They are conundrums and you ponder possible solutions or positions to take. Insofar as you feel sure of yourself you may enunciate your position, or attempt to be an activist.

You watch for ways to protect those dear to you, even neighbors with whom you have casual ties, or perhaps a sister or brother. It is a great satisfaction to save someone from harm. You may uncover or discover facts you didn't know before, finding that they show you the way to keep someone safe.

Ocean travel is something to contemplate while we have a stellium (five planets) in Pisces. This might have purely symbolic value, unless you are in fact near the sea or plan to be. You can be alertly prepared to benefit from skills you carry around with you in all regions. They gain allies for you.

Conscientiousness develops pride. You observe, as if in the clouds, a wide swath of human activity and sense how you could rule or administer things better than they are administered now.

Vacillating is likely just because we are in the Dark Hermetic Epoch, and even more so most of this day because the moon is void-of-course (until the time above). You are unsure exactly which direction to go, and so are testing possibilities in your mind. There may be some in the world who are testing terrible weapons (paragraph 2). We do not want that. The time of weapons is finished except as they drag on as a ball and chain (connected to once-needed aspects of the male genetic code apparently). The happier indications suggest you can continue to refine and train your abilities, enjoying the process.
