Message for Monday 4 September 2023
\An important message: Not Losing It!/
A symbol for Saturday, "a man being carried by four men in a sedan chair," was interpreted by me favorably because it's a holiday weekend. But it included the statement "idleness and sloth may render him a useless member of society, with self-indulgence making for ruin." Sadly this came true for me because while a total stranger bought me a sandwich and I consumed it, I neglected to watch a parcel I had with me and it was stolen. While riding in the "sedan chair" provided by a good person an evil one stole from me and I am still recovering from that. In the planetary setup this coincided with Mars and Saturn, the two "malefic" planets, being in a sharp quincunx, less than one degree. This can be unexpected painful happenings.
Monday: That aspect is now separating by more than two degrees so I hope it will not upset us on this Labor Day. Yet we have "A man wading through mud knee-deep, the bank toward which he is struggling enveloped in fog." Combined with Mercury, Venus and five other planets being retrograde, this makes it clear that we need utter patience to cope with what seem "perished hopes and abortive speculations." It shall all get better, at latest by September 15 when Mercury turns direct or September 23 when the sun enters Libra (autumnal equinox).
From August 28 through September 9, Venus at her station remains at this degree: "A jutting rock upon which tufts of grass hold a thin but certain existence." The keyword, Constancy, indicates "firm and steadfast character. One will hold resolutely to beliefs and principles though it be to one's disadvantage. Whatever one may determine upon as the right thing to do will assuredly be done if within the compass of resolute striving."
This is a good place to say: Please don't get dispirited by the retrograde planets. They can make us feel that we are "losing it." No, we are not, but we get tangled in complications, within our own consciousness if not outwardly, which make us feel that we don't know what we are doing. The "resolute striving" of the previous symbol is a remedy, combined with faith and prayer.

"The ideals of a man abundantly crystallized," with the keyword Personification, intimates that either we see our hopes and ideals personified in someone, or we personify them ourselves, or both.
