~Profound or Friendly Association~

Planets are moving slowly, so some of the symbols we use repeat, just as we find ourselves backtracking in our personal lives. I hope that the process has not been too painful for you, but it can be very upsetting. 

"A blazing fireplace in a deserted home." This symbol feels comforting and nostalgic, evoking the change of seasons when for the first time we turn on the heat or light an actual fire. Yet the picture could suggest, at worst, "a witless dismissal of all affairs to their own devices." That's why the keyword is Guardianship. Why is the home "deserted"? Mysterious. Are some of its denizens missing? Yet it shall be re-occupied when they return,  to a toasty-warm living-room let us hope.

There is much that is mystical, secretive or profound. Charubel gives the symbol "8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8," the square of 8 (reminiscent of the I Ching), as indicating "a man or woman of mystery, a student of the mystical with profound understanding." This could be you as well as someone you associate with or learn from. 

While Venus has been motionless, now moving ahead but very slowly, she has been at the degree "Tufts of grass on a jutting rock hold a thin but certain existence." The keyword is Constancy, and we are trying to "determine the right thing to do and accomplish it through resolute striving." A snail's pace now could change to a more confident clip beginning by the 15th or 22nd of this month.

Venus and Mars are in a sextile (favorable) aspect, by 6 degrees, from September 6 through October 23. This can be friendship, or friendly contacts at least; romance, attraction or flirtation. At a simple humanistic level it could be represented by "several persons in festive attire assembled together and talking." We will be "sociable and versatile, having strong humane feelings and sympathetic minds." We could "make many friends and have considerable benefits from associations formed casually." Without attempting it we "bring together persons mutually advantageous to one another."
