~From Sorrow to Dignity and Union~
Moon in Cancer
Sorrow and harrowing trials cannot destroy
The patient endurance of one whose heart though tested
Cannot be broken. Holding a staff in his right hand,
A crown in his left, he arrives at the summit of a mountain
Illumined by the setting sun. Through pain and work
He has risen from obscurity to dignity and honor.
Prominence is his reward. At his side is one like
A second self, their hearts joined as if concentric
Circles. Alone, such happiness could not be shared.
In full accord they embrace each other's mutual
Experience, symmetrical, abundantly endowed. With others,
Their neighbors and kin, they unite to requisition
All that reassures and contributes ease of function
To ordinarily extraordinary, prodigal living.
