^Inverted Magnification^
He is looking at all things through the large end
Of a telescope, seeing all as small and himself as
Huge. No one has merit but himself.
Two bulls fight together and in the human world
There is too much strife. Why are so many petulant,
Warlike? Testosterone's a paltry explanation.
Much more reasonable is a cat arguing with a
Mouse, justifying itself and its supposed needs
Like a human merchant persuading all to give
The requested price. If we could learn to look
Through the right end of the telescope,
We might discover virtue, skill and goodness
In those around, realizing the greatness of the
Mouse while fresh happy ideas dawn on us.
