The Summer Solstice (sun entering Cancer) occurred Tuesday at 2:15a PT | 5:15a ET | 9:15a UT (mentioned yesterday in the sonnet as “A summer day!”) I hope the season will meet some of your expectations. I feel that the Bright or progressive Hermetic Epoch which began on the weekend and lasts through August 19 is starting to normalize things and make them more reassuring.

A cataract falls down the mountain from ledge to ledge
Impelled toward hazard, lost in obscurity.
A fox hearing and seeing its course runs away
Along a path beneath the shadow of a wall.

A dog stands over a bone guarding it from others
Starving. He gets what he can when he can.
A monster gourd arises from the soil
Growing monstrously-magically. Watch out.

A dark man richly appareled, surrounded by courtiers,
Loves luxury and influence, journeying unwarily
Toward the gate to the Garden of Desire. Can he
Open it and enter? With hope, prospects are good.

In dearth or plenty, change is part of the order
