Challenge: Attempting to control one's bodily habits makes one feel like 'an animal trainer,' treating the animal, or one's body, kindly yet imposing some training on it resolutely. This requires patience in the face of any backsliding and a determination to set things right again. The chosen regimen could be diet, exercise or anything requiring a better set of habits. Mercury's multiple aspects also make one inquisitive, so one might appreciate 'a teacher of chemistry' or of any subject helping one gain greater control over natural processes. Testing things with an immediate application makes them interesting and memorable.
Process: 'A harem' is considered, as a symbol, from the women's viewpoint, as something which restrains them yet insulates them from some worldly struggles if they accept this 'conservation of energies' willingly. (Shades of the "animal trainer.") However, some will reject the terms of such limitation and strike out for freedom. In today's living, this could be a situation in which one individual gets adulation and subservience from others whether gladly or grudgingly. We sometimes assimilate ourselves into a social nexus providing safety and structure. Whether we do that or try for independence, we may perceive 'rings of light in the heavens; ring within ring, or zone within zone.' Charubel says this means we might be 'the man for a far distant future,' living in a world of our own, not understood by the masses. Some students of UFOs (rings of light), or supposed abductees (harem again), must feel this, as demonstrated in the interesting new Netflix UFO documentary. So do some astrologers.
Blessing: Moon, Venus and Mars all in Virgo, sometimes considered the sign of virgins of either sex (or hermits), coincide with 'a man and woman standing with their backs to one another.' This suggests a reserved or bashful disposition, perhaps awkward with the opposite sex or anyone to whom one might be attracted. There could be indifference to marriage or partnership, yet sincere affections, with a pure mind and kind disposition. There is something refreshing and relaxing about modesty and delicacy. As for freer and more adventurous potentials, 'a ship is in full sail.' This could reflect Venus's opposition with Neptune and the sun's favorable bi-quintile with that planet of the sea. Your 'sailing' might be mere fantasy if you watch something like Outer Banks (which I have been enjoying). Or if you respond to the impetus of the early days of a New Moon you might be alert for a new experience, a fresh sensation or a soupcon of romance plus danger.
