Nobody likes the |karmically difficult third| of each week, but it is real and we ought to take account of it to preserve our peace of mind. There is probably nothing one can do in the other two-thirds of the week that one ought not to do in the |difficult| period, that is, by definition, and yet things which are chancy or questionable are more likely to go wrong. So holding to the straight and narrow is generally best. Party or fun times are not impossible, yet people will be moody and more likely to be focused on their problems, and so one ought to take account of that and bear with them when they "dump" their problems, or hold them in behind a grim expression. And so on.
As mentioned here before, although it is hitting the weekends regularly for a while, that will end in the second half of May when the period will move to earlier in the week.
Is it real? The first ever killing of a pedestrian by a self-driving car occurred during a }karmically difficult third|, on March 18 (you can check and see for yourself that it was listed for that day). That was also during a Dark Hermetic Epoch, of course, which began on March 9. Not to be morose, but two of the symbols for that day were:

A man upon a raft floating in open sea. Misanthropic, lack of initiative. Discouraged into nerveless apathy. Let him follow his chart and trust in Heaven. Isolation. b
This was especially galling because the victim was a woman, and she had her bike with her. She was Nature (female) bucking the tradition of engines and metal and technology (car) by using a bike.
The DHE continues until May 3 and the hardest part of it, Mercury Retrograde for three weeks at its center, began yesterday, the 22nd, at 5:20p PT | 8:20p ET. Today as I write, the 23rd, the stock market is down because of Trump's trade policies and perhaps because of Facebook's problems, all of which happen to coincide with the first day of Mercury Retrograde.
The weekend may be a good time for strategic retreat, for many of us. If you go out for fun, give it a more philosophic tinge, rather than expecting it to be ecstatic every minute. Or stick with yourself, family, or tried and true friends.

Not the result of merit but good luck. Vain as a peacock. c
A strong and prosperous-looking man stands with arms extended forward, holding in his hands a bowl full of wine. Generous and hospitable. Succeeds through good and worthy actions. Is desirous of recognition. Steadfast and sincere; many friends hold him or her in respect. Conscious Merit. b

The planet Venus. Refinement. Partial to the ornamental. Enamored of the beautiful in nature and art. Delights in the company of the opposite sex. c
There is an embarrassment of riches here, because I have harped on the |difficult third| plus the DHE. Yet the symbols seem wonderful. Perhaps the beauty in them is a reflection of Luna's sextile with Venus, which occurs in the morning but lasts all day, and then her sextile with Uranus in the evening. Venus bi-quintile Jupiter is a signal of luxury. So these symbols and aspects give the lie to the |difficult third.| Yet then, Venus bi-septile Saturn is harsh emotionally. Maybe believing in and living those symbols will turn the day around.
