I'm writing on Sunday and the amazing march-demonstration of Saturday is still fresh in my mind. It is a good example of a good way to use a |kamically difficult third| period, which encompassed both Saturday and Sunday. Karma? Yes, the heavy karma of guns. These "kids" or very mature kids or seemingly young and strong adults handled all that with perfect composure. It was quite a test, being also during a Dark Hermetic Epoch. But that was appropriate, because in those periods--in fact it is the Mercury Retrograde period now, or center of the DHE--we review and revise our approach to things, look at the past and reconsider it and how to live up to our ideals and correct the past in the present. Which was precisely what they were doing.
Two of the symbols given here for Saturday were:
A person climbing a rock in the midst of a fierce storm. Flashes of lightning reveal the figure in dark outline. It appears strong and climbs well. Force of character. Efforts finally crowned with a position of security and comfort, after passing through perilous adventures. Uncertainty, Peril, and Final Success. b
Indians rowing a canoe and dancing a war dance. Mobilization. s
These could hardly have been more accurate.
The |difficult third| was evident in the somber mood, which of course was totally appropriate. I am sure that after the rally some had a social time, but I would guess it was imbued with a serious, reflective, sober quality. They met this period manfully and womanfully! Kudos to them.
Monday looks lighter, with a sense of growing optimism plus confident competence. Especially by afternoon and evening, when the Part of Fortune enters the 5th sector, there should be a spirit of cheer, even fun.
A fox running along a path beneath the shadow of a wall. Wily, prudent, cunning. Diplomatic. Self-defense without violence. In extremities, a clever ruse or presence of mind liberates. Caution. b
A butcher clothed in his working dress conducting a sheep into the slaughter-house. Dangerous proclivities. Selfish, crafty and cruel. c
A bunny metamorphosed into a fairy. Transition. s
A dark archway and ten logs at the bottom. Thoroughness. s
A large forest of big oaks; no underwood; all is clear beneath; hence a spacious vista presents itself, affording plenty of scope for wandering. A lover of rural life, opposed to change or "reform." Will prosper if allowed to go in his own groove. His chief amusement is the chase. c
A man of powerful form riding upon a restive horse whose mouth is curbed. Maintains dignity and position by means of natural powers. Will have his own way; sometimes tyrannous and unjust. Will brook no opposition. Dominion. b
A double promise. Sensibility. s
Some of the symbols seem somewhat cruel, but we can transform them into self-control. The fox's caution is perhaps implicit in us. The animal figures symbolize things in ourselves at the animal level we need to get under our control. That does not involve cruelty, not even to ourselves. Then, when we are functioning effectively, we can "have our own way" and arrive at thorough dominion over things we had been struggling against. "The chase" (not chasing helpless animals but something which benefits us) and the "double promise" can be our gladness when we have triumphed over obstacles.
