Yes, the election has been karmically challenging and sobering. Disasters tend to happen during that |period| of each week.
All I can say is, decades ago my mentor (guru) Marc Edmund Jones said, the last time I was with him in person, that we (those listening to him in that room) should stay away from politics. He seemed to know that it was doomed to failure as a real solution of humanity's problems. In that he agreed with Plato, perhaps, who said that democracy was a total mistake. After the results of yesterday's vote, it seems that Plato was right.
The Kingdom of Heaven promised by Jesus to his followers is something other than the kingdom or queendom of either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. Jesus replied to Pilate's query as to whether he was a king, "My kingdom is not of this world." Are you copying that?
Yet the Kingdom of G*d, in the ultimate, is of this world as well as of the dimension of Heaven, for Jesus said often "The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." And we can aspire to That, and aspire to bring it about on the earth within the limits of a sinning and aspiring humanity. We have no other choice. The teachers I believe in say that it is here but that we do not always see it.
Wednesday: Perhaps one explanation of the election's result lies in the degree of Jupiter for both Tuesday and Wednesday: "A man with his arm in a sling, and his head bandaged. Denotes one who is liable to accident, and is very unfortunate." That would seem to be our nation. One Republican said that Trump's victory "made him want to vomit."
"An old adobe mission, " keyword: Durability. That is also our nation, which will survive even Donald Trump, as it survived the clash between invading immigrant Europeans and Native Americans. Whatever spirituality the Mission symbolized rested beyond racial divisions.
Many will consider the presidency of Donald Trump to be exactly what is represented by the symbol for the sun in today's chart (Charubel): "A serpent with many heads, all in a circle, with fangs protruding. Denotes one who may become a pest and a terror to society; unless overruled by benefics, will prove a curse to his relations and acquaintances. This is the cursed degree of the so-called cursed sign; yet even this may have its purposes." We hope.
A patient tortoise has to be steadfast and enduring. May we be so. "In spite of all obstacles he will attain to the position he has set out to gain for himself."
There is the danger of morose misanthropy. "The public is crazy; I am better than that!" We have all been through such moods.
"An officer preparing to drill his men" could be any of us who decide to keep our backs up and our personal worlds in order.
