~Students' Lament~

Moon in Scorpio (early entrance time given yesterday)

Moon remains in the Via Combusta: some confusion or uncertainty

One impediment, the moon v-of-c, is gone since yesterday; the other, the Via Combusta, remains. I felt both intensively yesterday--I have a cold, with other issues, and couldn't do much but am trying to write this ("yesterday" if you are reading it Tuesday).

Impediments, obstacles, and delays galore is the way I feel all this, with of course the culprit Mercury Retrograde in the background.

Some lunar trends are better today than Tuesday. We may be getting a better grip on things, one slow bit at a time.

Children are playing on the special carpet set aside

For them. Without parents or guardians, they could

Be geniuses unknown, or criminals abudding, or ghosties

From the past about to fascinate the social present.

The chemistry teacher instructs his students

In practical matters. The dentist helps them keep

Their teeth in shape. The phys ed teacher wants them

To learn horsemanship. Too much for kids maybe.

"No man is an island" but sometimes I want to be,

Free to cultivate thoughts and feelings without

Interference. Yet total isolation is not my wish;

I want to contribute something real to my society.
