^Merrily Divided Influences^
Moon in Sagittarius, on course
|Karmically difficult or sobering third| of this week continues until early Saturday
The following poem reflects the coming Shiva Rathri festival or fast day in India, on the 17th, the same day, this year, as Fat Tuesday; Lent then on the 18th, and then the Chinese Year of the Goat begins Thursday the 19th. All this while Mercury is slowly gaining speed moving toward a Bright Hermetic Epoch the first week of March. I hope you sense the tide turning for the better in your own situation.
Divided influences hit us in the lunar cycle, with ancient Valentine,
Sober Lent, Raucous Tuesday, ShivaRatrhri, and Chinese New Year
Barking at our heels. What a week to usher in the Year of the Goat,
While the Horse looks toward further, maybe greener, pastures.
See you in eleven years, old friend. We plod on, and plow
Without an animal to help--the Goat says Nay. He goes his
Merry way. Maybe we too can escape from all but
Interesting labor. Yet there are mouths to feed, refreshing
Liquids to share. A painted face with tangled hair is in
The receiving line. He carries on a lost tradition, unless
That dark woman hovering deceives and unmans him.
Or they could both revert to childhood, laughing impolitely.
