Moon in Taurus
/void-of-course
until it enters Gemini at 8:55p PT | 11:55p ET | 4:55a(W) UT

|Karmically difficult or challenging third| of this week all day and until Thursday afternoon

Not all astrologers give the moon's void-of-course periods as much importance as I do. It's up to you. But I really think most people have a HUGE mental block against understanding what it really means. Part of the reason is that it means some things every time, but different things each time. And that is not obscurantism, it is just trying to put in words what can only be learned through experience. If you are superficial, and observe superficially, and never delve into the depths of what you are living, or are incapable of reflecting on the events of a day or a few hours and compare them with what went on on another day or set of hours, you just won't get it. I think I have only known one individual in my life who understood how to use the void-of-course periods, how to think about them and understand them, and that was the great astrologer Al Morrison. He explained over and over in his classes what the v-of-c means and how to use it. And probably about one per cent of his students ever got what he was saying. People are amazingly superficial in their observations of time. I think that is because nobody ever taught them, as children, that one period of time has a different flavor or quality or tendency than another period of time. It's all just one BLANK past-present-future, every day, every hour, exactly the same. That is the current materialist-atheist-agnostic-nescient view of things. Obviously I am trying to do something better here.

I'm mentioning all this now because we have had so many very long void-of-course periods recently, because of the positions of the planets within the signs. Today it is virtually all day.

If you have read my attempts to explain how to use it and what it means in the past, you must have some glimmer of how to use it. I don't feel like repeating all that at this moment. Observe and see. Figure it out for yourself with your observation and intuition. It is not a futile time or a bad time, just a different kind of time. With that as clue, see what it is for yourself.

It is mixed up today with the |difficult third| of the week, so that makes it harder than at other times. But if you have a great day, wonderful! I hope you do. The point of all this is not to convince people that they have a duty to have a bad day! Then I would be some kind of monster. See how you can finesse the void-of-course times to make them better. If you don't even know they are there, you will have no chance to do that.

The poem derived from the symbols for the day should resonate somehow or some way with you and give extra clues.

They have found the perfect life, an even road
Going on and on through fertile fields and gorgeous
Valleys. A horse who is half a man visits and grants luck
To the couple strolling blissfully, breathing paradise.

The massive wall is a ruin. Through its crumbling arch
Owls swoop. Its ornamental cross lies uselessly
On rocks. Once it inspired a priesthood to noble
Deeds. Now a foolish youth clambers on the wall pointlessly.

A woman passes by, once blessed by the absent centaur.
Her stormy life now seems all sunshine once again;
She manages her estate, which had its difficult days,
With worry but eclat, persuading her old lover to return.
