Forecast for Tuesday 23 December 2014

Tuesday 23 December 2014

\Interesting Low-Key Transition/

Sun in Capricorn; Moon in Capricorn-->Aquarius; Foci in 1, Focus or Self and 12, Confinement or Privacy or Research

/moon void-of-course  *
until it enters Aquarius at 6:53p PT | 9:53p ET | 2:53a(W) UT   **

The absence of helpful lunar aspects and the fading-away of the trine between Jupiter and the sun make this a more "ordinary" day than we might expect during a holiday season. The long void-of-course period has to do with Saturn no longer being at the end of Scorpio to "catch" the moon's sextile, but now in Sagittarius (as of 8:34 a.m. UT). There it shall be until June-September when it shall return to Scorpio for the summer. It entered that sign in October 2012. This has been two years of intensified desires, of strong loves and sometimes strong repulsions, of heightened sexual awareness, whatever that may mean to any particular individual. Now that Saturn is in Sagittarius we may expect a calmer, more philosophic or religious attitude, a desire to do good in a detached controlled but benevolent manner. That may be refreshing, but if you want more of the emotional intensity, wait until June.

Maybe Saturn in Sagittarius until 2018 will mean a stabilization in the Muslim world, which is said by ancient astrologers to be ruled by this sign. What has been settled by blood (Scorpio) may be settled now by law and ethical-spiritual negotiation (Sagittarius). Let us hope!

That is one of the most optimistic forecasts I have ever made. Yes, let us hope.

Tuesday is a moon-void-of-course day so, given what was said in the first sentence of this report, it might feel "blah." People will think of career hopes and needs, of what their position in the world really is and how to fortify it. That is always sobering, even to the most successful individual, for we always feel we have fallen short.

Keeping at things, in whatever way makes sense to your intuitive judgment, will be helpful, as long as you give yourself rest times and let your work be flexible or interruptible (void-of-course). You may want to be a slave-driver of yourself (Capricorn) but need some off time as well. This is specially true if you are at a transition stage where much remains unsettled or unclear. Research and planning could be better than rushing to put plans in motion when your environment is not ready for them yet.
