*Tantalizing Mystery*
Speaking candidly as to fellow astrologers, I must say that the current astrological set-up is perplexing. It consists of a lot of oppositions, basically, although now the whole pattern is falling into a Locomotive type chart, that is, one empty trine (between Mars and Uranus). This puts Mars in high focus, although he is in the sign of his fall, Cancer. This might explain the odd silence in my neighborhood. Even though I live next to a high school, I do not hear shouts and laughter, just silence. Mars acts inwardly when in Cancer, more than outwardly.
Today the moon in Leo moving toward Venus gives us hints of romance, although October will be the romantic month of the near future. That is something to look forward to.
Personal attractions might get you in trouble today, even if the sort of trouble you relish---I am being ambiguous and humorous because after all when Mercury is retrograde nobody knows what the H is going on. Do you relish soap-opera love-tangles? Well you can have them. Do you want to be alone? Someone will invade your privacy and you will be glad.
I did not say this attraction or infatuation is "the real thing." Most likely it is something like a dream of a script-writer, and the script-writer is within your brain. Still it provides uplift and entertainment at the least and a bit of reassurance that love is possible in ways you hadn't foreseen.
You want to enjoy luxuries while someone special lounges nearby. (I did not say "lunges.")
Going where there is music, entertainment, or a hanging-out paradise is recommended. It doesn't matter if you feel it is inappropriate at first. People are too sensitive and touchy about themselves, including you about yourself, so don't let anyone spook or rebuff you; most likely they are worried about their impression on you rather than the other way around.
At a deeper level, you care about your reputation, and that is good, so you will want to finish some work which you know is part of your dharma, your contribution to the human race.
Psychic or semi-magical powers are bubbling up in you if you let them. This is specially true when you feel you are in the right about something and insist that the world recognize the rightness. The indirect approach is what will work.
You are sensing how to prevent someone from "losing it" or going too far off the deep end. Your concern and subtle influence, even if telepathic, will help a great deal. A wise person told me long ago that rather than try to influence people directly he sent his influence to G*d to be forwarded to the person in question by the Highest. This might have the same effect as if you were influencing the person directly, because at the spiritual level things can happen instantaneously, but with a safeguard.
It is well to be aware that there are mysteries "undreamt of in your [or anyone's] philosophy" so that you can be open to surprising potentials you would otherwise miss.
Success is calling to you through the heart, that is, your love-nature. You gain success through associations, even through a partnership, although it might be an incipient or burgeoning partnership rather than a consummated one.
That said, it is necessary to warn that this could go awry while Venus opposes Neptune and Jupiter, that is, you could misinterpret what happens and get ahead of yourself. I don't like to say this; who wants to be a Scrooge of the affections?; so let yourself experience something remarkable, while still keeping your head.
