There is "power of resistance and endurance."
"A man at a desk writing all kinds of hands, from the largest to the most microscopic" has an artistic gift and is able to read character quickly. Therefore speaking out what he sees could sound like slander. (There's plenty of that on Twitter for example.)
"Three mounds of knowledge on a philosopher's head" are not mere pride in intellect, but symbolize "the eternal fitness of things, as lies within man's power to comprehend for his own special guidance." The keyword is Prescience, which is pre-science or foreknowing. One "comes to know the world, and anticipate the ways of its going."
Such balanced and balancing awareness is like the natural wisdom of "an ancient shepherd with crook in hand, standing in the midst of his flock." There could be "love for rural life" together with "this everyday world's wisdom." Thinking or dreaming of mountain scenery, or visualizing it, could be beneficent.

P. S. The Israel-Gaza-Hamas violence is so intense that I am not mentioning it directly in the above report, though there may be clues. It seems we are lacking a "shepherd" to calm things and advance a peace agenda, though the forecast might be suggesting there is one waiting somewhere. Who has the "Prescience" which could work out a political rather than military solution?
