"A person being carried by four men in a sedan chair" is a favorite of fortune who accumulates wealth while "possessed of good parts and numerous accomplishments." Yet idleness, sloth and self-indulgence could render him useless or ruin his life.
Still, there is hope: "A star surrounded with many rings" is a far-off sun, but its rays impinge us and impart virtues so that "we need never be cast down." "Thou will meet with trials, but fear not, 'Thy bread shall be given thee, thy water is sure,'"
