My attempts to avoid politics are falling apart because we know what is happening in Washington.  A joint session of Congress to pass on the legitimacy of votes in the Electoral College.  And look at the above:  The 'cosmic reshuffling' of the Via Combusta or burning way, and people are 'burning' with anger on both sides.  The |karmically serious| third of the week in addition, of course.  I shall not predict what shall happen.

But we begin with 'a funeral procession and an open grave, and a great concourse of people; great excitement.'  Some will wish this the 'grave' of Donald Trump; some will hope it is the end of Joe Biden.  The 'great concourse of people' and 'excitement' are not only the joint session of Congress but the march and demonstration of Trump supporters and no doubt plenty of their opponents.  It is 'dangerous" says Charubel.  We have also 'a man with a large pair of scales in the act of weighing.'  Of course this is Congress, and even could be Mike Pence if things go as some Trump people wish.  It could also be the Supreme Court if what happens today requires later adjudication.  The 'judger' is 'apt in matters of detail' says Charubel.  The devils in the details shall be the topics of the day. 

"A girl surreptitiously bathing in the nude" could be, to put it crudely, someone in the Washington demonstration needing to wash herself or himself and knowing not where to go.  Pool of the Washington Monument? (Sorry.)  More basically, when people argue they "strip back to essentials" and immerse themselves in humanity in revealing ways.  This could be interesting.  Mars and Venus are in a trine, and I have been predicting a better 'love' or romantic or erotic situation.  'A woman nude, looking at her reflection in a pool of water' is from a different set of symbols than the preceding and so confirms it.  In crowds, people become more aware of their impact on others, their appearance and personality.  'Dalliance and self-love' sometimes come out in males as machismo posturing.  Political disputes when brought down from the ivory tower have a way of acquiring sexual overtones, as demonstrators against the Vietnam war discovered.  

Although the potentials of anger and roiling dispute are enormous (moon opposite Mars and Uranus while square Pluto, Mercury, Saturn and Jupiter, in addition to what was pointed out above), there is also 'a woman of pleasant face, neatly attired, standing holding a sword, whose point is earthward.  Her head is kissed by the meridian sun, her face toward the north.'  This is emblem of those on both sides who are trying to find a peaceful solution.  Yet 'she has enemies, and will have to exercise herself in self-defense'; for her 'life will open out into a great field of strife.'  However, 'through her or his native force and diplomacy' she or he 'will eventually prevail.'  Is this one side, or the other, or could it be both in some ideal resolution?  (I blush to suggest that.)  We have 'a council of ancestors' and oh do we need them!  The Trump people are convinced that the Founding Fathers are on their side.  Perhaps the Biden people feel likewise, or their ancestral allies are supposed to be the downtrodden rather than the patriarchy.  And so it goes.  But we do have common ancestry extending back to Adam in myth, to the primordial slime in Darwinian theory.  Do we have to go back there to resolve our problems? Dr. Jones speaks of humanity's 'immortal dependence on the characteristics which have proved their value and hence have continual re-embodiment in the hearts and minds of one generation after another.'   Such antecedents inspire us toward resurrected integrity.
