"Two men engaged in a fight" fits with Mars pushing to a square with Saturn and a conjunction with Uranus, especially with Mars in his own sign Aries. This could be a healthy way of competing in either ambition or opinion. Or, perhaps, it could be more fraught with hard emotions, such as love spurned bringing on resentment and jealousy: "a heart encircled with a band of iron." Greater love is the cure for heart dis-ease.
"A man of humble appearance, but much strength, felling a tree with an axe" is practical, contending with obstacles through persistence, cutting out his own path through labor. Others with a more "dignified" or professional destiny may resemble "an officer arrayed like a Chinese mandarin in a robe of purple, gold and blue." This signifies association with "persons of high estate and power" leading to exalted positions of trust and authority. What do these two individuals, who probably would never meet, have to do with each other? Class conflict and class cooperativeness play themselves out in multiple ways in varying nations.
"A Hindu healer" may be above the battle, cognizant of the suffering and the bliss in all human stations. "Spiritualized self-discipline achieves a magical ordering of the whole course of events," says Dr. Jones. This is therapy bringing potentials to consummation. Then we may hear "a celestial choir singing." This is veneration of the Supreme, which is proper and fitting at the beginning of a new year.
