|Karmically serious or sobering third| of this week is with us until Friday morning
I have said several times that happier times may begin on Friday this week (the 13th) and go on through April into early May. That is a deliberately optimistic view because we need something to look forward to. But I think I may be right. Meanwhile, today does not look easy. I do not know whether this will be the stock market's gyrations, or the pandemic, or reactions to the pandemic (which seem to be causing at least as much trouble as the illness itself), or something else in your own life. Keep your faith going. This looks like possibly the hardest day of the week.
When it comes to sorrowful illnesses, it could be said that the sign Gemini is deeply connected with infections of the lungs or the respiratory system. It is interesting that the four planets which have been lingering in Capricorn for many weeks--Mars, Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn---could be among the villains bringing this condition about, because Capricorn, often a sign of test or crisis, is the 8th house (death) of Gemini while Gemini is the 6th (health and illness) of Capricorn. That is, they are in the fateful quincunx (five signs apart) relation. Also, the sun and Neptune in Pisces are square to Gemini, and Pisces can be a bearer of communicable diseases (but also of wonderful things including good moods and music by osmosis). Saturn leaves Capricorn on March 22, Mars on March 30, the very day a new Bright Hermetic Epoch shall begin. And so if the virus lingers, we might look to those two dates as signals of hope for a recession of the trouble.
Also, things look better beginning when the sun enters Aries on March 20. So if this Friday fails to bring relief of your major troubles, as I ventured to predict, perhaps in one or two more weeks such relief will be more fully accessible.
Wednesday: Much seems harrowing, with delays and complications. Isolated feelings are likely, and while being alone is not bad in itself, if it were to result in pride, perhaps of a vindictive sort, it would call forth enmity from someone or, seemingly, from "the world." You may feel you have been patient long enough, but more endurance is required.
We still have the girl bathing privately in the nude, a symbol of glad immersion in nature's gifts, such as fresh clean water, symbolizing other restorative factors available to us. Perhaps her sweet solitude is better than involvement with people, for we also have "a woman of dark countenance standing over a prostrate man." While this could be nice vindication for a woman who has been mistreated, it could also show that there is dishonor and threat between the sexes, or within them, so that someone feels demeaned or violated by someone else.
Those who have not lost money through investment or business during these difficult days may laugh somewhat maliciously at the next symbol: "An old man, poorly clad, stands beside a river, from which he collects bits of wood and straw with a rake." This could be what some investors feel like. The river of the Market rather than overflowing with luxuries has subsided to the point that one is lucky to extricate from it bits of straw. Of course, it is probably not that bad but this could be a prevalent mood. However, one can use even old or waste materials as resources for "keeping on keeping on." Definition of purpose and protracted labor manifest force of character, and cannot ultimately fail.
