Moon in Cancer
|Karmically serious or sobering third| of this week is intense, continuing until early Saturday

I give Joe Biden a lot of credit, because this seems a peculiarly difficult time, and he is the one who triumphed on Tuesday. The Venus-square-Saturn (depression, doubt) plus Mercury retrograde (what am I doing anyway? nothing works, everything is delayed) makes it hard for most everyone, and it is evident that Sanders, Bloomberg, Buttigieg, and Klobuchar were feeling it. "Just give up." (Sanders of course has not.) But I saw smiles of relief on the faces of Pete and Amy as they endorsed Joe. "Now this ordeal is over." If you want to feel that way about one or two things in your life, I would not be surprised. As announced, we should enter a less disturbing time beginning March 13, just over a week from now. However, I have to warn, as always during MR, against "throwing in the towel" or dropping projects or a job or relationship. It is almost always better to stick with it, unless utterly impossible (as it was for four of the candidates including Steyer). You can clench your teeth and carry on.
Self-defense and self-preservation require a bit of diplomacy. With a cardinal-sign and earth-sign emphasis, we want results immediately, but there are "No, you have to wait" signals. A "field of strife" opens before us, but we can prevail. You may feel you are standing guard over a "young litter," children or immature adults who require patient defense even if they don't realize that.
Some indications of yesterday are re-emphasized, concerning study of the Mysteries or a determination to succeed at the alchemical work of character-reformation. (We tend to feel we have to reform ourselves during the |karmically serious third|.) "Why does this have to be so hard?" The hardness is what produces the magic, when it is faced honestly. (True, some of the effort may have to be postponed, but not all.)
"A horseman armed moving across the desert to some woody hills" is exactly how I feel often these days. At least the "woody hills" grant some rest. But the effort is not done. To finish it one has to be self-reliant, and not disconsolate when being alone is essential. We may long for a trouble-free state when wealth flows to us, and that is not impossible, yet not the whole story. If this is a day of test (with some rest), still we may grant ourselves rewards.
