At the table he sits, carving his repast, while outside
A young man lies on stones. He has no instinct to share.

Each, a bloated gut no better than a rocky pillow.
Brownies and fairies dance in the setting sun.
They form two letters S, which intertwine, invigorating
Nature. A man who doesn't see them runs past and
Through them, lost, confused, his clothes in tatters.
She played ball with him; they worked out and danced,
Then joined the group at the campfire, reminiscing over
High school. Colors swirled through the air, and bubbles
In the brook, and all was as before, yet not.
