~Patience and Courage~

Moon remain in the Via Combusta (subtle loss of morale during cosmic reshuffling)

The Via Combusta is a great mystery. Why should the second half of Libra and first half of Scorpio have an "ominous" connotation, at least for the presence of the moon? Well, they don't, in utter reality, but only in relativity. While the moon is there, perhaps we are tested more. We reconsider things and sometimes feel lost. Of course good things, even very good things, can happen then. Astrology is not a stupid superstition. But I include the Via Combusta in these reports because over the decades I have found it to be meaningful to me as a time when decisions are fraught with difficulty, and sometimes can go totally wrong. Also, one just becomes aware of the temporariness or mortality of things, of events, of one's hopes and plans. One has to cling to the Eternal to feel safe. And there is nothing wrong in that!

When mixed with the void-of-course time, as it is most of today, it could have us feeling specially lost, confused, or disoriented. If not, chalk that up to your spiritual maturity! Perhaps we are specially aware of our flaws or the flaws in our activities. Certainly it is not a favorable time to launch completely new projects or make important commitments (except for that most important commitment of one's life to the Supreme Lord). Perhaps we need to take deep breaths and relax and meditate or pray, before going on with ordinary schedules. 

At a prayer meeting last night, one member told how he feels something is going wrong in his workplace, something unethical, but feels he cannot do anything about it without jeopardizing his position. Here is the Saturn square Neptune aspect in one of its guises--feeling as if one is a "double agent" or a victim of something it is very hard to work out of without making things worse. This good man is praying about the situation and so he will be guided to what is best. The question, with this aspect, is how long such solutions will take. We are called to patience. 

The closer aspect just now is Mars square Saturn, which is mixed up with the former Saturn square Neptune because Mars is joining Neptune. This can be moodiness and separations. But let's rely on Luna's trine to those two planets, stronger in the evening, to help us make things right. Since we are all going through these aspects, we can be patient and kindly to one another and hold to our faith. Working hard no matter what the obstacles is a possible benefit of Mars square Saturn.

So, courage! Love never dies but sometimes seems invisible for a while. Yet evening hours may bring it back in deeper mystical forms.
