Moon in Libra; Foci in 9, Understanding, Religion and International Affairs, and 4, Home or Foundation
Moon enters the monthly Via Combusta (subtle loss of morale during cosmic reshuffling) at 10:09a PT | 1:09p ET | 6:09p UT (until Wednesday)
Staying with things you already have decided are important could be a key. The Via Combusta can be a wavering attitude--why should I bother with this? Isn't it meaningless? But if you decided on it earlier, most likely it is far from meaningless and you are just dithering because of a loss of morale which is wasting your time.
Luna sextile Jupiter helps, giving basic optimism if you can tune in to it--regarding past loves and past career successes, for example, which help you to be up for current ones. During every Dark Hermetic Epoch we carry around our memories like a dung beetle with its dung. But this has a strong value if we do it with conscious clear understanding or intent.
People are concerned about health and may feel they need extra rest. It might be good rather to rouse oneself and keep up with an exercise program, within wise limits.
I am giving a lot of paternal advice, partly because we are all giving it to ourselves, with current aspects such as Mars squaring Saturn (less than two degrees and increasing). Of this Reinhold Ebertin says: "severity, insubmissiveness, stubbornness, desire to overcome opposition, separation, grief, illness." But that gets our backs up. Then, positively: "willpower, concentration, perseverance, taking work earnestly, success through unusual effort."
Sound familiar? It does to me.
Then there is Saturn square Neptune, of which I wrote in a special report yesterday (including but not confined to the plight of the amazingly growing Christian population in China). It began November 8, but by a five-degree orb (which I now consider highly significant as highlighting the most important current aspects) it began exactly Christmas Day. That means a great deal to me, because I felt depressed and grouchy and got into a religious argument with a friend. He himself as a Christian was arguing with G*d about Jesus's crucifixion. I cannot blame him for that; it is a hard problem in theology. It brings out the Saturn-Neptune square perfectly. That can be suffering for a cause. It can be persecution. We need not shrink from that if we believe thoroughly in the cause for which we suffer, but who can say it is welcome or easy? Non-religious people may experience it in other ways, such as misunderstanding, slander, a loss of reputation due to misrepresentation, and so on. I mention it not to depress you but to suggest that if we face these matters directly we may spare ourselves much suffering, which would increase by a factor of two or more if we were to bumble through and try to escape the issues we need to face. Maybe talking calmly and lovingly with that friend or employer or mate who misunderstands you would be better than just feeling martyred? I can't say, but it is worth considering. He or she may be going through something similar with which you could sympathize. Then again, he or she may not want to admit to or talk about that.
Saturn square Neptune (with us for many months to come) can also be physical problems from alcohol or drugs or some kind of poisoning. Neptune is in Pisces, said to rule the liver. Alcoholics need to find a better life-style in the coming two years, the sooner the better. Smokers likewise, of course. There will probably be the usual disagreements and disputes about the value or the danger of Marijuana. I shall take no position on that. "Some of my best friends" do it, and some of them abstain. This aspect is unflinching in demanding from us choices which may seem hard at first. The old "sin brings suffering" teaching comes alive.
This has not been very cheery. Let's tune in to the sextiles of Mercury and Venus with Uranus to feel good about the unusual features of ourselves and our associates including co-workers as well as friends. This is a tolerant aspect, so whatever our or others' complaints, we can find a way to lighten them with a sense of humor.

Cosmic Piper
Well, I was feeling a sense of unusual sadness this Christmas; didn't know what to make of that, but now I see I was just in rhythm with the universe....
