~Important Concerns Evolving~
I took a day off on Epiphany, January 6, the day the Wise Men, identified as "astrologers" by the New English Bible, are said to have arrived at the birthplace of Jesus. So I did not write a forecast for January 7, Friday, which is the Orthodox Christmas. In accord with the forecast for Thursday, I found myself preoccupied with important business that day and by the time I was ready to write Friday's forecast, it was too late.
Saturday looks like a quite smooth day, the moon advancing toward a sextile with the sun, from Pisces to Capricorn. There is something deeply religious, or else humanitarian, or both, in this combination; a willingness to go all out to help people at a spiritual level without losing sight of the practicalities in which they are involved.
Something is going on concerning the relation of temporal to spiritual powers, that is, of the government to the clergy, mullahs or rabbis. This is an age-old process, actually less virulent now than in past centuries.
Power and mastery sometimes have to be developed from a position of aloneness or solitude.
Repeating things you have done many times is necessary in the spiritual life. This might be ritual, or ritualistic study or exercise, but the regularity is essential. Some sorts of ritual, or regularly repeated study, can lead to adeptship.
The sun's square with Saturn brings out an undaunted and impassive quality, usually after suffering which evokes just that. Perhaps one sees into some of one's abnormalities, or what one thought was normal starts to seem abnormal when one views it with greater objectivity. Such self-examination leads to self-reform, the only lasting reform there is.
There are intense expectations of gain and thoughts of what one might do with that gain. Yet there is a perception that the gain is not fully here and so one has to wait; in fact one might grow exceedingly tired of waiting. It is ten days until the Bright Hermetic Epoch when it will be easier to set good prospects in motion.
Knowledge you seek is intense and exciting, designed to cure illnesses or reform governments or liberate the oppressed, and you seek it with utter concentration and so are sure of gaining it sooner or later. It is linked with your practical needs and gains, with the material or financial means of obtaining it, which is part of the whole process although the intellectual and spiritual foundations for such consummation come first. You can root out and dismiss whatever presuppositions in your thinking might be inaccurate or lead you to waste time on fruitless paths.
We sometimes wonder if someone else is superficial, or if something in ourselves which is superficial makes them appear superficial to us. That is an excellent question to ponder. Most people have more depth in them than one supposes from outside observation. Sometimes their souls are leading them to be obsessed with some external things or activities which are part of their mission for this life, even if those activities seem meaningless to us. Sometimes those who amass fortunes dealing in trivial things turn around and become significant philanthropists.
Hidden enmity over religious or ethical matters could be present under the surface. When one has an irrepressible urge to express oneself on such matters, it may be important to do so. Or, if that goes too far, it may merely exhaust everyone with pointless argument or discord. A natural setting where one feels the power and strength of the gods, or the elementals, the invisible powers directing natural forces, could be strengthening.
