Forecast for Monday 6 September 2010

Monday 6 September 2010

*Restful and Romantic Fun*

(I tried to make this gold, for the moon in Leo, sign of gold, but maybe it looks brownish gold. Burnished gold.)

Yes, I have been away more than a week and that is probably the longest time I have not published a forecast in years. The reason was that I moved, and it was probably the hardest move of my life---not a long distance but I had to get rid of half my possessions (and probably should do the same with half of the remainder). I was exhausted. This holiday weekend is helping me recover.

Mercury has been retrograde, as you must know, since August 20 until September 12. Maybe not a good time to move, but I have observed for decades that more people move during those times than during the Bright Hermetic Epoch. Either we are stupid or it is the right time to move, at least sometimes. It is interesting that moving usually means reconsidering every item of your life. You have to get rid of things, sell or give them away or throw them out or recycle them, which is all a "re" process. There is resignation---sigh---I will not be in this house or neighborhood again. There is a recapture of your life by putting it in a fresh setting. All this may be why people tend to move at these times, even though many astrologers do not re-commend it.

For Monday, the moon is in its last phase, getting smaller by the hour to our geocentric observation. This goes along with a need for extra rest, usually, or more meditative and less strenuous pursuits. I saw several groups of people start to play sports on a playing field outside my new window (Sunday) and then give up after a short twenty-minute interval. It seems they were "bushed." A sign of this time, until the New Moon arriving Wednesday morning. Nice that we (in America) have Monday off.

That day has nice lunar aspects, a sextile from Leo to Mars and Venus in Libra, archetypically romantic. So it might be the best social day of the three-day weekend. Parties are mandatory! Or, at least, hang out with people with whom you are comfortable or whom you wish to court.

You might be re-thinking and working out matters connected with your career or research. It is important to find answers and you are onto them, no matter how lackadaisically. Within lackadaisy is a daisy. Maybe it will pop out when you don't expect it.

Yes, let's just call this a holi-day (even for you readers in Europe or Asia), which really means holy day, but the more secular varieties of pleasure and entertainment are likely to be paramount with the lunar aspects already mentioned. Love is in the air. Let it happen.
