\Withered Hopes Shall Recover Sap and Freshness/

(And that ain’t sappy.) The New Moon of Taurus arrives at 6:05p PT | 9:05p ET | 1:05a(F) UT. Before that we are in a coasting period, more or less. You can do things which are surprising and creative. But it is probably too early to push major projects in an outward way, that is, for the approval or cooperation of other people. They too are involved in their inner processes and personal creativity, more than yours. Tentative motion in a desired direction is good, not firm decisions yet.

Even after the New Moon, I would go slow with major projects, that is, slow with the outward social or business side of them. The period between Mercury’s direct (but very slow) motion (Wednesday the 12th) and the Bright Hermetic Epoch’s beginning (May 28) is a time for forward but careful development of things you want to get in motion. You will sense when it is time to forward something or project it for someone else’s consideration, and when it is better to hold back yet. You need to trust your intuition, and be willing to wait when you make an offer or proposition and get no response. You do not have to be totally timid, yet keep in mind that some things are still tentative. People may be slow or ambiguous in responding to your desires. Beginning the 28th, it is full steam ahead.

What happened in the U.K. is instructive in this regard. The new government got under weigh on the 11th, just before Mercury turned direct early on the 12th. This does not doom the peculiar alliance between the Tories and the Liberal Democrats, but shows what everyone knows: it is a strange and awkward alliance. It had to be done because people do not know astrology yet. If they did, governments would not hold elections while Mercury is retrograde!

Although you feel despondent and sad part of the time, you can recover. You may feel that some have “used” you or “used you up.” This is one of those hard places everyone encounters, when we feel underpaid or underappreciated or even spat upon or misused by those we have served or been kind to. Further, there are differences of viewpoint which can be galling. You can get through this. You can see the ungrateful side of people and yet maintain faith in them by remembering what has been good about them.

You are sensitive to so many things which are subconscious, even racial (human-race) factors beyond your control, affecting all of us on inner levels of consciousness. It seems that now the “mass consciousness” is becoming truly global, but nationalism’s death is slow and gasping.

There are so many possibilities and opportunities opening up, slowly, that you may not know which way to turn. I would say, let your inner consciousness gently point which to pursue or accept first. You do not need to hurry. You are getting a benediction for a coming month of progress.

This has to do with finances and career as well as other areas of life. As the Sibyl said to Aeneas, “Yield not to disasters, but press onward the more bravely.”

Beuatiful things may dazzle your eyes (moon and sun in Taurus, sign of jewelry and sculpture). Beautiful people as well.

Despite all that, you may feel abandoned or cut off from some who have been important to you. Deeper comforts of the Spirit endure and uplift.
