Especially during the 6-hour v-of-c period marked above, one may feel dismayed at the prospects of a Happy 2022. We need to gear up hope and faith. 'A black hole or cavern in a rock' could be 'vacuous projects or fruitless work,' based on a notion that one deserves benefits from others without yielding anything in turn. Things only seem that bleak until we climb out of the hole. 'A plow' shows that it is possible to labor on in a protracted way through force of character which carries one beyond difficulties. This requires definition of purpose, determination and incisiveness.
'Sea gulls watching a ship' know that the over-all economy of humanity and nature will provide what they need eventually, if they are alert enough to capture it. We as humans in history have foundations in the past such as 'an ancient bas-relief carved in granite.' The present moment is 'a recurrent manifestation of all that ever has been or that ever can be.' Dr. Jones says "Here is an absoluteness of self as it proceeds to express itself with a true conviction.' Bringing things into 'a pattern of convenience' precipitates desired results.
When we emerge from the dark tunnel or cavern of the first paragraph we might enter 'a spacious hall like a museum, the walls covered with symbols and hieroglyphics.' The antiquarian or mystical, like the bas-relief, provide security in the present. Or if we turn to living Nature we are in 'a vista extending to a great distance; on either hand are majestic trees covered with a profusion of foliage.' These enchanting visions may be in paintings or photos, or just the mind's eye, lifting to ideal sustainment.
